Minnesota-Licensed Family Law Attorney (Remote)
Atticus Family Law is growing, and we’re looking for a Minnesota-licensed attorney who wants the independence to manage their cases without being left to manage everything that comes with them.
This is a fully remote position backed by experienced paralegals, legal assistants, established processes, and a team that actually works like a team. You’ll focus on guiding clients, developing case strategy, negotiating resolutions, and advocating for your clients while having the support and resources to do the work well.
We’re looking for an attorney who cares about the quality of their work, communicates well with clients and colleagues, and believes collaboration makes everyone better at what they do.

While your day-to-day work will be remote, Minnesota court appearances, mediations, and occasional in-person client meetings are part of the role.

Compensation:
$90,000 - $130,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
- Own your cases. Manage Minnesota family law matters from initial strategy through resolution, with a team and established systems behind you.
- Advocate for your clients. Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, negotiations, and other key stages of their cases.
- Build strong legal positions. Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, settlement documents, and other written advocacy with purpose and attention to detail.
- Give clients a clear path forward. Help clients understand their options, set realistic expectations, and make informed decisions during an often difficult time.
- Keep cases moving. Stay ahead of deadlines, next steps, and developing issues rather than waiting for the case to dictate what happens next.
- Work as part of a legal team. Partner with paralegals and legal assistants, delegate effectively, communicate clearly, and use the resources around you.
- Represent the firm well. Bring professionalism, sound judgment, and thoughtful communication to interactions with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Minnesota family law experience. You’re licensed and in good standing with the Minnesota Bar and have at least two years of experience practicing family law in Minnesota.
- The ability to own a caseload. You’re ready to take responsibility for your matters, manage competing priorities, and know what needs your attention next.
- Clear communication. You can explain complicated legal issues in a way clients understand and communicate effectively in writing, in court, and with opposing counsel.
- Strong follow-through. You stay ahead of deadlines, keep track of details, and close the loop on the things you say you’ll do.
- Comfort with technology. You’re comfortable working in a technology-driven practice and learning the tools and systems we use to manage cases and communicate as a team.
- A collaborative approach. You value the people working alongside you, communicate well with support staff, and know when to ask for input or offer your own.
- A client-first mindset. You understand that excellent representation includes both strong legal work and helping clients feel informed, prepared, and supported throughout their case.
