Position Summary Description The Alumni Engagement and Giving Officer reports to the SeniorDirector of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving. This position willbe responsible for developing and implementing fundraisinginitiatives to increase alumni participation and philanthropicsupport for department programs, including but not excluded toclass reunions, regional, and affinity programs. Qualifications:

About the Position
Reporting to and working closely with the co-founders of Boundless Israel, the Director of Development will be responsible for building a fundraising program that will sustain the tremendous growth seen in the past year. Earth, Atmospheric, and Marine Sciences Librarian Academic Engagement and Learning Services
The University of California, San Diego Library seeks creative, collaborative, and service-oriented applicants for the position of Earth and Marine Sciences Librarian for our Academic Engagement and Learning Services (AELS) Program (Assistant, Associate or Full Librarian).
Responsibilities of the Position Reporting to the AELS Assistant Program Director for Research Advisory Services Services, the Earth and Marine Sciences Librarian investigates and identifies user needs and develops services and collections for faculty, staff and students of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO).
Subject Librarian Services (60%) • Deliver consistent communications, outreach and on-campus presence for academic programs including ocean biosciences, atmospheric and climate sciences, and geosciences at SIO. • Serve as a point of contact and information resource for SIO on resources, services, and policies. • Build relationships and gather information about assigned departments to discover curricular trends, research needs, and other information to guide service development and priorities. • Develop subject-related learning objectives to advance information and data literacy, and deliver instruction services in a variety of formats for undergraduate and graduate students at SIO. • Develop and maintain library collections, including primary and secondary sources, and tools, to support the teaching, learning, and research needs of students and faculty. • Work across the library to facilitate access and preservation of digitized collections, including SIO historic materials.
Subject Related Scholarly Communication and Data Services (30%) • Partner with Scholarly Communications Librarian and others to increase number of liaison-area faculty who deposit in the UC eScholarship open access repository and who publish using UC Transformative Agreements • Partner with the Scholarly Communications Librarian to provide instruction and research advisory services in the areas of publishing literacy, open science, and open access in assigned subject areas. • Partner with Data and GIS Services colleagues to provide support throughout the research data lifecycle, including finding, analyzing, visualizing, managing, and sharing data. • Working in collaboration with others in the library, support scholars throughout the research data lifecycle with a focus on making original contributions related to Earth, Atmospheric, and Marine Science disciplinary areas.
Undergraduate and General Services (10%) • Contribute to library public services, including lower-division instruction, reference, and/or outreach for general undergraduate programs in addition to assigned subject areas. • Participate in AELS meetings and contribute to program goals and initiatives. • Develop and implement strategies for advancing diversity, inclusion, equity, and accessibility in instruction, research assistance services and collections.

The Team: Inclusive Financial Systems The Inclusive Financial Systems (IFS) team believes that valuable, low-cost financial products have the potential to offer a pathway out of poverty, and that digital financial systems can enable the private sector's delivery of such products to the poor sustainably and at scale. IFS supports the buildout of inclusive digital financial services (DFS) systems in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) by (i) enabling the right policy and regulatory environment, (ii) supporting the implementation of inclusive instant payments systems, (iii) driving scale and economic sustainability by promoting pro-poor use cases; and (iv) closing the gender gap in the usage of formal financial products.
Position Summary While financial service providers ensure the last-mile delivery of financial services, their ability to serve unbanked population segments hinge on whether policymakers, regulators, and commercial providers adopt evidence-based interventions which have been proven to expand the poor's access to digital financial tools. The Deputy Director, Regulation, Policy &amp; Research will lead a team which seeks to (1) support regulators in LMICs to develop inclusive financial regulations; (2) protect DFS consumers by equipping supervisors with policy guidance and technology tools which enable them to mitigate consumer risks; (3) support regulators in expanding healthy access to productive credit markets; 4) generate evidence which informs decision-makers in LMICs; and 5) ensure the IFS strategy and programming reflects the latest research and data.

What You'll Do
<li>Serve on the IFS Leadership Team and Investment Committee, informing overall IFS team strategy and grant making.</li>
<li>Manage and cultivate a cohesive, high-impact team which leads the IFS team's Regulations, RegTech &amp; Consumer Protection, Research &amp; Measurement, and Strategic Partnerships portfolios.</li>
<li>Lead the development, implementation, and refinement of these IFS team strategies.</li>
<li>Cultivate a high-impact grant portfolio and partner ecosystem to advance the IFS team strategy, with a strong focus on regional partners in South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. </li>
<li>Represent the foundation to external constituencies. This could include formal and informal presentations, attending conferences, sitting on working groups, and holding board seats as appropriate.</li>

Your Experience We are looking for a recognized global professional with deep expertise in policy and regulation (ex. Country Central Bank) of financial markets in low- and middle-income countries. Additional knowledge and skills include:

<li>Understanding of the key issues driving the growth of financial inclusion, as well as barriers impeding progress. </li>
<li>Understanding of financial and data regulation and supervision, ideally including experience regulating and supervising financial institutions in LMICs or engaging directly with financial regulators and policymakers in LMICs. </li>
<li>Understanding of supply side and demand side barriers and opportunities for women's financial inclusion.</li>
<li>Experience interpreting academic evidence and translating that evidence to inform financial inclusion policy.</li>
<li>Understanding how credit markets work, and the policies and regulations which can foster healthy access to productive credit. </li>
<li>Understanding the technologies and policies needed to support data regulation.</li>
<li>Understanding of key financial consumer protection issues faced by LMIC consumers</li>

The salary range for this role is $229,100 to $355,200 USD. We recognize high-wage market differences where our offices are located, in Seattle, WA &amp; Washington D.C. The range for this role in these locations is $249,600 to $386,900 USD. As a mission-driven organization, we strive to balance competitive pay with our mission and new hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint. Actual placement in the range will depend on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process.

Position Summary:
The Grant Manager is responsible for full cycle management of the grant award process, from prospecting to post-award management, with an emphasis on governmental contracts and grants. Working closely with the Director of Development and Government Grants and other program/administrative leaders, this role will be accountable for researching and gathering information on specific DSCS programs so as to be able to write proposals, program reports, and other relevant communications. As a member of the Development and Government Contracts team, the Grant Manager may also be asked to develop content for proposals or supporting materials for private philanthropy.

<li>Primary responsibility for the pre- and post-award process for government grants and contracts;</li>
<li>Support in the writing of philanthropic materials, including proposals and program reports, and donor communications.</li>
<li>Conduct prospect research to identify institutional funding opportunities, with an emphasis on government grants and contracts.</li>
<li>Work closely with program leadership to identify funding needs and strategic opportunities for smart growth.</li>
<li>Conduct business in accordance with the DSCS Employee Handbook, exercising sound judgment and serving the best interests of the agency and the community.</li>
<li>Work within the framework of the agency's mission, vision, values, theory of change, and organization's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, restorative justice, trauma-informed work, and language justice.</li>

Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Two-three years experience in grants management in a non-profit environment with a focus on government grants and contracts.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to independently identify and successfully apply for government contracts and grants.</li>
<li>Familiarity with government funding at the local, state and federal level. Experience with Bay Area local government funding preferred.</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree required. Master's preferred. </li>
<li>Experience with post-award compliance and reporting. Experience with program evaluation preferred.</li>
<li>Strong organizational, interpersonal, basic computer and research skills required.</li>
<li>Experience writing accurate, compelling proposals and narrative/manuals utilizing proper grammar and spelling is required. Experience preparing conference presentations preferred. Samples must be available upon request. </li>
<li>Proficient background in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint required. </li>
<li>Bilingual (Spanish) desirable but not required.</li>
<li>Background in and passion for working with low-income and immigrant communities on issues of social justice, including housing rights, immigrant rights, and/or worker rights, with familiarity with these issues in the Mission District and San Francisco.</li>
