The Position: The Vice President for Finance and Administration/CFO (VPFA) reports directly to the President and is a key member of the President's leadership team. <li>Be a quick study and a strong communicator, able to comprehend, in their totality, the institution’s finances and to communicate effectively about them to the Board and shared governance groups, creating understanding and support for the College’s financial strategy and needed decisions.</li>
<li>Be able to build and present budget models that reflect possible choices and projected results, basing models on variables like enrollment, tuition revenue, tuition discount, net tuition, student retention, auxiliary income, philanthropic giving, facilities costs, employee costs, and program costs.</li>
<li>Possess acumen to assist the President by developing financial pro formas to support evaluation of current programs, proposed new programs, and potential revenue-generating initiatives and partnerships with for-profit entities.</li>
</ul>
Responsibilities: Strategy and Financial Leadership:
<ul>
<li>Serve as a member of the President’s Cabinet and advise the President and other key members of the leadership team on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.</li>
<li>In collaboration with the President and administration develop new revenue sources to support the mission of the College.</li>
<li>Serve as the main financial liaison to the Board of Trustees and the Administration and Finance, Investment, Audit, and Building and Grounds Committees. Effectively communicate and present critical financial matters to the Board and its committees.</li>
<li>Gain the trust of administration, staff, and faculty by effectively communicating with the campus about financial issues.</li>
<li>Develop and execute a long-range financial plan for the institution that works to maintain the fiscal health of the College while simultaneously allowing for strategic growth.</li>
</ul>
Operations:
<ul>
<li>Partner with the President of the College and the Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing in developing strategies that work to increase undergraduate net tuition revenue.</li>
<li>Review the operations of the College to ensure that they are efficient and effective and determine if there are areas that can be reengineered in ways that will allow for greater economies of operation.</li>
<li>Direct and manage the assets of the College and develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the College.</li>
<li>Guide annual budgeting process and produce financial, expense and budgeting reports.</li>
<li>Arrange for the preparation of the audited financial reports by external auditors.</li>
<li>Oversee the management of Information Technology, including critical infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise data and intelligence, computing hardware and software, and instructional technology.</li>
<li>Oversee the management of facilities including new construction, renovation, and non-routine maintenance.</li>
<li>Maintain oversight of Risk Management and Property Insurance and collaborate with Human Resources on the financial oversight of other insurance (including health, life, dental).</li>
</ul>
Fundraising and Endowment:
<ul>
<li>Oversee endowment investments as prescribed by the Investment Committee of the Board and advise the President and key stakeholders, including administration, on strategic use of endowment funds.</li>
<li>Partner with the Vice President of Advancement to ensure effective stewardship of gifts to the College.</li>
<li>Represent the College externally as needed, especially in banking and lease negotiations. Manage bond indebtedness and banking and auditing relationships.</li>
</ul>
Staff Supervision and Development:
<ul>
<li>Promote a culture of high performance and develop staff using a supportive, collaborative and data-driven approach.</li>
<li>Ensure all staff are customer-focused in their dealings with students, faculty, staff and others.</li>
<li>Oversee, direct, and supervise offices of accounting and finance, information technology, human resources, facilities, public safety, conferences and rentals, Swannanoa gathering, dining services and the bookstore.</li>
<li>Actively participate in the selection, hiring, training, and evaluation of direct reports, facilitate and direct the process of goal setting for direct reports, and conduct regular meetings with them to monitor workflow and offer feedback and guidance.</li>

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:

<li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.</li>

Leadership &amp; Governance Dr. Damián J. Fernández is the 10th president of Warren Wilson College, assuming leadership on June 1, 2023.
A Cuban immigrant and first-generation college student who grew up in Puerto Rico, Fernández comes to Warren Wilson with more than 30 years of experience in teaching and leadership positions at both private and public institutions.

<li>Assists the director in managing the program budgets and ensuring compliance with TRiO legislation and regulations as stated by the Department of Education.</li>

Administrative Assistant

PHI’s Senior Workforce Intervention Specialist works to improve job quality for direct care workers by contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of PHI’s practice-based employment and training models. As a part of PHI’s Workforce Innovations Team (WIT), they will specialize in leading engagements related to operationalizing and evaluating meaningful advancement opportunities that expand the direct care career ladder; additionally, they may support programs aimed at strengthening recruitment and retention practices, creating a coaching culture, developing adult-learner centered training, and assessing direct care job quality. Outstanding skills in critical thinking, proactive leadership, written and verbal communication, relationship building, and workforce and organizational development are essential for success in this role. &nbsp;
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Lead the implementation of PHI practice-based job quality interventions, including creating and maintaining work plans and timelines, managing partner relationships, executing project activities, and reporting progress to PHI’s Vice President of Workforce Innovations through verbal and written communication.</li>
<li>Build and manage relationships with numerous strategic workforce partners – including long-term care employers, payors, advocates, and others - to support collaboration and the successful integration of job quality practices.</li>
<li>Provide technical assistance and consulting to project-based partners to support program design, implementation, and evaluation; this will include intensive, hands-on support to project partners to assess and modify organizational practices in support of implementing and maintaining workplace environments conducive to high-quality direct care jobs.</li>
<li>Routinely meet programmatic deadlines and proactively communicate impediments to the Vice President of Workforce Innovations.</li>
<li>Produce high-quality project deliverables in line with PHI and WIT acceptance criteria including PowerPoint slide deck presentations, external and internal reports, project worksheets, assessment tools, workflows, and other items as needed to meet project goals.</li>
<li>Plan, facilitate, and document meetings, informational sessions, webinars and other interactions with external partners; this could include coordinating planning with WIT and other PHI staff members, sending meeting invitations and conferencing information to attendees, creating and disseminating agendas, facilitation, documenting and archiving associated notes, and establishing next steps.</li>
<li>Collaborate with WIT staff to coordinate team roles, optimize efficiency, and meet project goals.</li>

SALARY AND BENEFITS
This is a full-time, salaried position with a base salary range of $90,000 - $105,000 per year, commensurate with skills and experience.

POSITION OVERVIEW
SEO saw rapid and unprecedented expansion during the pandemic,prompting the need to grow and redesign our C-suite. Over the lastthree years, we have welcomed three new Executive Committee membersto oversee critical functions within the organization— SEOProfessional Programs, SEO Scholars Program, and nationaloperations. In the same period, we have also doubled theorganization's workforce and budget, expanded SEO's regionalfootprints in North Carolina and Miami, and opened a second site inOakland, CA, to accommodate our growing Scholars program in SanFrancisco.
The SEO Chief Advancement Officer is responsible for strategicdevelopment planning and activities supporting the NYC SEO Scholarsprogram and SEO general program/operating support, representing 40%of organization's $51M budget with the goal to grow support by 50%over next 3 years. A particular focus will be on nationalfoundations, corporate donors, and major individual donors. The CAOis expected to be a front-line national relationship builder andmajor donor solicitor, managing a portfolio of prospects, andsupervising an approximately nine-member development team.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) William Goodloe,the CAO will be a leader in lifting the current org-widedevelopment efforts to new levels of success by broadening ways toattract and more deeply engage with national foundations,corporations, and individual philanthropists over time – to becomestrategic sources of revenue. The CAO will also work closely withSEO’s professional programs and its Marketing &amp; Communicationsteam to utilize SEO’s legacy of impact closing opportunity gaps toincrease national brand recognition as a whole. RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising:
<ul>
<li>Drive a strategy to raise roughly an additional $10 - 15m+ inannual revenue for SEO general program support and Scholars programsupport from a variety of philanthropic sources (annual giving,major gifts, corporate and foundation relations, alumni) andspecial events (an annual gala that consistently generates $8m+ inunrestricted funds and several smaller events focused on theScholars program and general SEO support).</li>
<li>Leverage SEO’s existing ecosystem and activate SEO’s untappednetworks within the spaces where the organization currentlyoperates, including private equity and corporate partnerorganizations.</li>
<li>In collaboration with the CEO, senior staff and Board ofDirectors, develop long-range strategies to significantly increasephilanthropic giving and serve as the key strategist for specific“asks.”</li>
<li>Build and streamline a development model that accounts formajor donor funding from various avenues, including those ofpartner and expansion offices, to ensure coordination and maximizedonor engagement.</li>
<li>Lead the positioning of SEO for further national expansion byestablishing and deepening relationships with all relevant internaland external partners/ constituents.</li>

The Vice President for Research serves as a member of the university's executive leadership team, reporting directly to the President, and works closely with the Provost and other members of the President’s Cabinet.
