Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 5+ years' experience as a paralegal and/or legal secretary in a law firm specializing in civil litigation on the defense side</li>
<li>Solid knowledge of state and federal court rules for filing and serving discovery, motions, and pleadings</li>
<li>Ability to perform legal research, conduct asset searches and basic investigation, draft and issue subpoenas, and draft, summarize, and index discovery and documents</li>
<li>Experience scanning, coding, uploading, storing, and printing documents, as well as developing and implementing databases to manage, organize, sort, index, analyze, and summarize large volumes of data</li>
<li>Experience assisting attorneys with mediations, arbitrations, and trials</li>
<li>Superior organizational and time management skills; excellent attendance and reliability</li>
<li>High attention to detail; exceptional proofreading skills to ensure that grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting are accurate</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing</li>
<li>High proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Outlook, Excel). Knowledge of NetDocuments and CARET Legal is a plus. Ability to learn new software and operating systems.</li>

Pay: $70,000–$85,000 per year, depending on experience, with the opportunity to earn up to $10,000 in quarterly bonuses for meeting billable hour requirements on paralegal work

Duties:
<ul>
<li>Participates in developing, establishing, implementing and recommending policies, practices, methods and procedures and programs designed to improve operations within Human Resources, developing administrative controls and reporting systems, and the application of related techniques and methods.</li>
<li>Conducts and participates in meetings as a representative the Senior Vice President of HR</li>
<li>Manages the agenda, attendance and materials for HR Council, Recruitment Council, and other major meetings and coordinates meeting participation, including Webex</li>

<li>Facilitates review and approval process of Managerial Annual Leave Buyout Requests by collaborating with SVP of HR and Payroll</li>
<li>Prepares and issues one-year anniversary messages to new employees</li>
<li>Assists with projects including but not limited to accretions, departmental reorganization, job description standardization, etc.</li>
<li>Develops and consolidates report of annual HR accomplishments</li>
<li>Compiles and distributes information from/to Chief Human Resources Officers/HR Directors</li>
<li>Compiles and prepares for presentation metrics and project outcomes</li>
<li>Assigns access and provides administrative oversite of HR Confidential SharePoint</li>
<li>In the absence of the Senior Executive Secretary, coordinates coverage</li>
