Position Purpose: 
The purpose of this Veterinarian Technician position inherently involves providing excellent veterinary care to our Vetco Total Care full-service hospital patients and phenomenal customer care to their owners. Essential Job Functions:
The incumbent must be able to perform all the following duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation:

Perform patient restraint, obtain and process laboratory samples, handle and dispense medications at the direction of the veterinarian, and maintain the electronic medical record.

Prepare patients for surgical and dental procedures, safely support induction and monitoring of anesthetized patients including checking and recording vital parameters (under direction of the veterinarian), monitor patients during recovery, and prepare them for discharge to owner or transfer to an overnight care facility as needed.

Provide in-hospital treatments for sick patients including giving injectable and oral medications as well as intravenous therapies; keep patients clean, watered, and fed (when indicated and directed by veterinarian), and safely walk canine patients when necessary for elimination.

</li>
<li>
Keep hospital environment neat and clean; perform regular cleaning of environment based on necessity as well as based on a pre-determined maintenance schedule.

Nature of Supervision: 
In all activities related to the care of patients, the Veterinary Technician will take direct supervision from the veterinarians as well as the Hospital Office Manager or Hospital Leader on Duty. For purposes of overall supervision, the Veterinary Technician takes direction from the Hospital Office Manager.
Planning and Problem Solving:
Like all team members, the Veterinary Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that day-to-day operation of the hospital is efficient and provides an optimal experience for our patients and clients.

PATH operates services throughout California, connecting our clients to a comprehensive continuum of homelessness prevention, street outreach, employment preparation and placement assistance, individualized case management, supportive services, interim housing, and permanent supportive housing. 
ABOUT THE JOB The Case Manager role's main function is to assist clients in breaking the cycle of homelessness by utilizing a "whatever it takes" approach. This position supports clients through all phases of homelessness, including but not limited to: on the street, interim housing, transitional housing, and permanent housing. They assist clients with accessing and maintaining necessary services among healthcare, social services, interpersonal support systems, and navigating through a coordinated entry system (CES). This position will provide individualized supportive services by helping each client develop a plan to address strengths, barriers, support health needs, increase income, and find and maintain housing. As part of the care plan, they identify each area in which clients will need assistance to accomplish the outlined goals and objectives (i.e. scheduling appointments, applying for public benefits, etc.) and focuses on housing and health as necessary outcomes for success. Position Responsibilities include:

<li>Conducts intake and individualized needs assessment for all participants and collaborates to develop Individualized Service Plan (ISP) that addresses housing goals, maintaining/increasing income and other personal goals identified by the participant including medical, mental health, substance use, financial resources, vocational, and social support needs</li>
<li>Provides referrals, linkages, information, and support to resources that help participants to achieve their ISP goals</li>
<li>Completes program specific assessments (e.g. VI-SPDAT)</li>
<li>Evaluates strengths and challenges to addressing short term and long-term goals, conducts a 90-day review with the participant after initial intake</li>
<li>Maintains documentation standards as required by the Program and PATH policies, including completing case file notes in a timely manner and maintains a complete, accurate, and current participant file with all required documents</li>

We are looking for doctors to fill a variety of full and partial shifts weekdays and/or weekends. Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Consult with patients by reviewing health and medical histories; questioning, observing, and examining patients; and reviewing x-rays, as indicated.</li>
<li>Evaluate patients’ neuromusculoskeletal systems and the spine using chiropractic diagnosis to determine neuromusculoskeletal and spine related conditions.</li>
<li>Perform manual adjustments to the spine, or other articulations of the body, in order to correct the musculoskeletal system, where necessary.</li>
<li>Educate patients on the quality of life benefits of routine chiropractic care. Provide a recommended course of treatment.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate case histories of patients.</li>
<li>Obtain and record patients' medical histories, as indicated.</li>
<li>Arrange for diagnostic x-rays to be taken, when medically necessary.</li>
<li>Analyze x-rays to locate the sources of patients' difficulties and to rule out fractures or diseases as sources of problems.</li>
<li>Patient chiropractic care and education</li>
<li>Building positive doctor-patient relationships</li>
<li>Maintaining accurate and timely patient records</li>
<li>Sales of membership packages</li>
</ul>
Qualifications needed:
<ul>
<li>4-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited college</li>
<li>A Doctor of Chiropractic degree from an accredited chiropractic college</li>
<li>Passing scores for Parts I, II, III, and IV from NCBE</li>
<li>A recent NBCE SPEC exam is an acceptable alternative for Part IV</li>
<li>Valid DC license in the applicable state</li>
<li>Fully eligible for Malpractice Insurance in the applicable state</li>
