The Chief of Endocrinology will provide strategic leadership and direction for all aspects of the&nbsp;Division. The Division Chief will be responsible for all planning, policy, operations, and&nbsp;oversight of academic, research, and clinical programs of the Division. The Chief of Endocrinology&nbsp;will have financial authority over the division&nbsp; budget, including extramural research and&nbsp;philanthropic funding received and other financial matters for the division, in accordance with&nbsp;applicable University policies and practices. The Chief of Endocrinology will have discretion in&nbsp;the recruitment and retention of division faculty who will have a direct reporting line. Qualified&nbsp;candidates must possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) or equivalent degree&nbsp;from an accredited institution and be eligible for a University of Arizona academic appointment at&nbsp;the Associate or Full Professor rank. The Chief of Endocrinology will also play a prominent role in&nbsp;the establishment of a Diabetes Research Center with the support of an ongoing University of&nbsp;Arizona (UA) capital campaign and the continued development of an NIH - T32 training program in&nbsp;diabetes, endocrine, and metabolism.
The Endocrinology division is one of twelve within the Department of Medicine, which leads the&nbsp;University of Arizona, College of Medicine-Tucson in research funding, and has two residency&nbsp;programs, 15 fellowship programs including endocrinology, and numerous mentorship opportunities in&nbsp;multidisciplinary health science graduate programs. Duties &amp; Responsibilities:

<li>Provide leadership and management of day-to-day operations of the Division of Endocrinology.</li>
<li>Responsible for recruitment, management, compensation, and retention of faculty in consideration of&nbsp;UA, UHSC, College, and B—UMG strategic plans and initiatives in balance of the multiple, tripartite&nbsp;mission of the University.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Academic Affairs and other educational offices at the College to ensure the&nbsp;division and their faculty are advancing the mission of the medical student, graduate student, and&nbsp;graduate medical education teaching programs.</li>
<li>Responsible for maintaining liaison with other clinical and/or basic science departments to foster&nbsp;an integrated teaching environment for the College.</li>
<li>Has the responsibility to support and expand research activities within the division, and across&nbsp;the Department, College and UAHS, working with key partners.</li>
<li>Provide leadership oversight and effective management of an active program of independent,&nbsp;extramurally funded basic, translational or clinical research in area of research&nbsp;expertise/specialization.</li>
<li>Is the clinical role model and leader of the division’s clinical activities and works with the&nbsp;Dean, Department Head, and the B—UMG CEO to coordinate the clinical activities of the division and oversee inpatient and outpatient clinical services.</li>

<li>Provide direct patient care in the inpatient and/or ambulatory (outpatient) setting as a licensed and fully credentialed provider as a member of Banner—University Medical Group.</li>

Requirements

Division Chief of Endocrinology (Associate/Full Professor) (NTE/TE/T)

The University of Rochester seeks an experienced, strategic, and collaborative leader to serve as its next Associate Vice President for Human Subject Protection (AVP-HSP).&nbsp; Reporting to the University’s Vice President for Research, the Associate Vice President is responsible for the staff, resources, systems, and policies that enable research involving human subjects, sustaining safety and compliance while advancing knowledge.
Key functions of the Office of Human Subject Projection (OHSP) under the AVP-HSP’s responsibility include <a href="https://www.rochester.edu/ohsp/rsrb/index.html" target="_blank">Research Subject Review Board</a> (RSRB), <a href="https://www.rochester.edu/ohsp/education/index.html" target="_blank">Research Education and Training</a>, and <a href="https://www.rochester.edu/ohsp/quality/index.html" target="_blank">Research Quality Improvement</a>. At any given time, there are more than 2,000 active research studies being conducted by approximately 3,000 investigators, across more than 100 departments, centers, and labs at the University and University of Rochester Medical Center. The AVP-HSP must be forward-thinking and proactive in considering the impact that evolving regulations and external factors may have on University-wide research plans, programs, and operations. They are the University leader in human subject-research risk-assessment and risk-mitigation discussions.
As OHSP is a University-wide resource, the AVP-HSP collaborates with research deans across the University as well as the Office of Research and Project Administration, the Office for Clinical Research, the Clinical and Translational Science Institute, and the Office of General Counsel. Alongside research deans from each school and key members of the Office of the Vice President for Research, the AVP-HSP is a member of the University’s Research Executive Committee. Rochester’s human-subject protection program has been AAHRPP-accredited since 2004.
The AVP-HSP must be a highly visible member of the University community and continuously engaged with University stakeholders, communicating and demonstrating OHSP’s commitment to being a collaborative partner with departments and divisions across the institution. The AVP-HSP ensures that the 14-member OHSP team is likewise knowledgeable, skilled, trained, and engaged in serving the good of the broader University community in thoughtful, thorough, and objective engagements.
The AVP will have well-developed and tested leadership and collaboration qualities, extensive research compliance expertise, and experience working with clinical, translational, and behavioral researchers. They will have the highest level of integrity and will demonstrate a track record of developing, mentoring, and supporting diverse and high-functioning teams.
Viable candidates will have at least 10 years of directly relevant experience, including in positions in which they had supervisory responsibility. If they are not coming from a peer academic or medical institution, they will demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and will have relevant research leadership experience with large, matrixed, and highly complicated organizations. A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree in a field that entails working with human subjects and Certified IRB Professional designation are preferred.

Division Chief, Hematology and Oncology

PHI’s Senior Workforce Intervention Specialist works to improve job quality for direct care workers by contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of PHI’s practice-based employment and training models. As a part of PHI’s Workforce Innovations Team (WIT), they will specialize in leading engagements related to operationalizing and evaluating meaningful advancement opportunities that expand the direct care career ladder; additionally, they may support programs aimed at strengthening recruitment and retention practices, creating a coaching culture, developing adult-learner centered training, and assessing direct care job quality. Outstanding skills in critical thinking, proactive leadership, written and verbal communication, relationship building, and workforce and organizational development are essential for success in this role. &nbsp;
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Lead the implementation of PHI practice-based job quality interventions, including creating and maintaining work plans and timelines, managing partner relationships, executing project activities, and reporting progress to PHI’s Vice President of Workforce Innovations through verbal and written communication.</li>

About the Positions
To meet areas of university strategic growth in global graduate education and impact, New hires will join an excellent, experienced and dynamic faculty and staff highly committed to exceptional education and student experience, the School for Professional Studies at Saint Louis University is seeking multiple, full-time faculty in the areas of information systems, cybersecurity, analytics, research methods and related disciplines.
All are open-rank, non-tenure track full-time faculty positions, with a nine-month contract running from August to May (renewed annually, with multi-year contracts possible after the first year). Candidates will teach up to seven graduate-level courses during the daytime with the bulk of the teaching occurring on campus. However, there is the possibility to teach select online sections if need dictates. There are also potential summer, flexible, online teaching opportunities.
As these are primarily teaching roles, research is supported but not required. However, active researchers and those with grants may be eligible for a reduction in teaching load. For interested faculty, potential or partial reduction in teaching load to maintain industry/professional practice in related area of expertise is an option. Additional expectations include limited service to support the program and School for Professional Studies as assigned by the appropriate Program Director in consultation with the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.
Faculty will join a community where teaching excellence is present and well-supported. The Saint Louis University Reinert Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning staff provide a wealth of resources for faculty development through in-person workshops, online offerings and individual consultation. Faculty also receive professional development funds to support their ongoing development and professional travel-related costs.&nbsp;
Key Qualifications
Ideal candidates are cross-functional, with the ability to teach in more than one area. Exact courses will depend on program needs, although no new course preparation will be necessitated, as classes are already designed.
For the Master of Science in Information Systems program, candidates should have a Ph.D. in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline. ABD candidates in these fields may be considered. Those with a master’s degree in these disciplines may be considered but only if the candidate can demonstrate extensive industry experience and certifications.
For the Master of Science in Cybersecurity Global Graduate program, candidates should have a Ph.D. in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline. ABD candidates in these fields may be considered. Those with a master’s degree in these disciplines may be considered but only if the candidate can demonstrate extensive industry experience and certifications.
For the Master of Science in Analytics Global Graduate program, candidates should have a Ph.D. in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline where Analytics is emphasized.
