Director of the Physician Assistant Program College of Nursing and Public Health JOB SUMMARY: The College of Nursing and Public Health at Adelphi University is pleased to invite applications for the position of Inaugural Director for the Physician Assistant Program to be based in Adelphi's new Manhattan Center. This is an open rank faculty position. The Director of Physician Assistant (PA) Program provides overall leadership and administrative oversight for the PA program, ensuring the program meets and exceeds the standards set by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). This role involves leading the development, implementation, and management of the program's curriculum and operations, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring the success of students. RESPONSIBILITIES &amp; DUTIES:

<li>Be responsible for creation, development, accreditation, operationalization, and management of a new PA program at Adelphi University and envision what distinguishes the program in the NYC market. </li>
<li>Lead and be responsible for development of all ARC-PA required accreditation candidacy documents, and oversight of all ongoing accreditation assessment and compliance. </li>
<li>Oversee the design, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the curriculum. </li>
<li>Assist with hiring, orientation, supervision, and evaluation of faculty and staff involved with the program, demonstrating responsiveness to issues related to personnel. </li>
<li>Have a background in clinical practice, as well as deep experience in teaching and academic administration. </li>
<li>Assist with hiring, orientation, and supervision, of faculty and staff involved with the program, demonstrating responsiveness to issues related to personnel, leadership, program development, accreditation, and program assessment. </li>
<li>Participate in evaluation of student performance and academic counseling of students. </li>
<li>Demonstrate evidence of teaching and curriculum expertise, faculty development and mentorship competencies, as well as enthusiasm for inter-professional collaboration. </li>
<li>Manage the program's budget and ensure appropriate resources are available to support its operations. </li>
<li>Develop, expand, and maintain affiliations with clinical sites and physician preceptors to provide high-quality clinical rotation experiences for students. </li>

 EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

<li>Licensure as a Physician Assistant in NY State with a minimum of five (5) years of recent clinical experience practicing as a PA. </li>
<li>Relevant doctoral degree is preferred. </li>
<li>Minimum of three (3) years of experience in academic administration, health professions teaching, and faculty development. </li>
<li>Knowledge of and experience with healthcare regulations, standards, and the accreditation process for PA programs. </li>
<li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. </li>

The Wilkinson Public Library (San Miguel County Public Library District #1) is located in spectacular southwestern Colorado, known for its stunning scenic beauty and a rich, colorful history. The Library District comprises the east end of San Miguel County. From the dramatic San Juan Mountains and Telluride’s world-class skiing in the east to the mesas, farms, and high-desert ranches to the west, San Miguel County (pop. 8,082, 1289 sq. mi.) is geographically and socioeconomically diverse, a state and national treasure. A five-member board of trustees, each appointed by the San Miguel County Commissioners oversees the library district.
Currently, the District has a strong financial position. The 2025 budget anticipates $4.48M in general fund expenditures, supporting 23.35 FTE, and capital expenditures of $1.76M. Projected yearend (2025) fund balances are GF $1.2M and Capital $1.8M. The Colorado State Library ranks the WPL first in the state for per capita library visits and circulation, and third in the state for per capita program attendance.
This career opportunity is available with the scheduled retirement (late-March, 2025) of the library director, who has served as director for nearly 11 years. The library director reports to the board of trustees and oversees a management team, comprised of the managers of the library’s four key divisions: business office, operations, youth services, and public services.
A four-year degree in a relevant field of study; at least five years of progressively responsible experience in library administration; knowledge of library best practices, trends, issues, and industry software and databases; or any equivalent combination of education and experience are all required. A master’s degree in library science or library information science from an ALA- accredited school or program, or in a related field is also required. Desired qualifications include advanced training in management, public or business administration, and human resources, and the ability to speak Spanish. The hiring range for this position is $117,709 to $147,136 DOQE. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The Department of Africana Studies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) invites applications for the position of Associate Professor of African American and African Diasporic Literature with tenure, to begin August 2024. Applicants with research and teaching interests&nbsp;in any aspects of the production and consumption of African American and African Diasporic literary and popular culture with interdisciplinary and intersectional approaches are welcome. We seek an associate professor with a demonstrated record of excellence in scholarship and teaching related to the field of Africana Studies at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and a commitment to and record of advocacy on behalf of the field, and who has leadership potential to assume the headship of the department within a couple of years. Preference will also be given to candidates who understand the historic and contemporary Black experience in America and the African Diaspora and are well-versed in critical race studies to provide intellectual and administrative leadership to our interdisciplinary program. A Ph.D. in African American Literature and African Diasporic Literature or a closely related field is required, and additional expertise in African American and African Diasporic literature, media, and/or visual culture is preferred. State Specialist for Disaster Education

About the Positions
To meet areas of university strategic growth in global graduate education and impact, New hires will join an excellent, experienced and dynamic faculty and staff highly committed to exceptional education and student experience, the School for Professional Studies at Saint Louis University is seeking multiple, full-time faculty in the areas of information systems, cybersecurity, analytics, research methods and related disciplines.
All are open-rank, non-tenure track full-time faculty positions, with a nine-month contract running from August to May (renewed annually, with multi-year contracts possible after the first year). Candidates will teach up to seven graduate-level courses during the daytime with the bulk of the teaching occurring on campus. However, there is the possibility to teach select online sections if need dictates. There are also potential summer, flexible, online teaching opportunities.
As these are primarily teaching roles, research is supported but not required. However, active researchers and those with grants may be eligible for a reduction in teaching load. For interested faculty, potential or partial reduction in teaching load to maintain industry/professional practice in related area of expertise is an option. Additional expectations include limited service to support the program and School for Professional Studies as assigned by the appropriate Program Director in consultation with the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.

<li>Ensures all parks, facilities, and programs meet safety, accessibility, and health standards; conducts regular inspections and oversees emergency procedures.</li>
<li>Responds to citizen inquiries, concerns, and complaints; investigates issues and takes appropriate corrective action.</li>
<li>Recruits, hires, trains, schedules, supervises, evaluates, and disciplines full-time, part-time, seasonal staff, contracted services, and volunteers.</li>
<li>Assigns work schedules and duties to staff and volunteers and maintains departmental activity records.</li>
<li>Develops and administers local, state, and federal grants; solicits funding and identifies additional revenue sources for programs and services.</li>
<li>Promotes and markets department programs, services, and events through public media, outreach, and presentations to community groups.</li>
<li>Collaborates with school districts, nonprofit organizations, civic groups, social service agencies, and private businesses to enhance programming and facility use.</li>
<li>Works with volunteer committees and leads community projects and initiatives.</li>
<li>Coordinates with city, county, and state officials to manage the Community Center as an emergency shelter.</li>
<li>Assists the Buildings &amp; Grounds Department with park, field, and beach preparation and maintenance as needed.</li>
<li>Performs special assignments, including research and preparation of reports on emerging trends and specific projects.</li>
<li>Maintains professional knowledge by networking with peers, attending conferences and training sessions, and maintaining memberships in professional associations.</li>
<li>Attends City Council meetings, departmental meetings, seminars, and conferences as required.</li>
<li>Manages after-hours calls related to facility emergencies, alarms, or urgent operational issues.</li>
<li>Performs other related duties as required.</li>

EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Management, Sports Management, Physical Education, or related discipline and a minimum of five years experience in municipal recreation with progressive supervisory and administrative experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required skills and abilities.
PAY AND BENEFITS:
This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position. The salary range is $84,468 to $113,588 and the starting rate depends on experience. Benefits include affordable health insurance, city-paid dental insurance, FSA, paid vacation and sick time, 12 paid holidays, and 100% city-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance. Plus enrollment in the New Hampshire Retirement System.
