The Site Security Specialist reports to the Site Security Lead and provides operational support to the client by implementing and upholding security measures on-site. This role will work closely with security personnel, assessing potential threats, and liaising with client leadership. The Site Security Specialist is a key stakeholder in the operational security, physical security, and logistics relative to the client. 
 
This role works within a team environment but much of the work is performed in a semi-autonomous fashion. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and will be able to prioritize and efficiently handle workload while maintaining a safe and secure facility for the client. 

Duties and Responsibilities

<li> Act as an armed active responder during an active assailant event</li>
<li> Act as first responder to support initial investigations into incidents and perform initial investigative triage</li>
<li> Assist with evacuations and/or crisis lock-down/shelter in place events </li>
<li> Deliver periodic active assailant training to ensure long term cultural adoption of the concepts</li>
<li> Provide on-site representation/participation in a crisis management team</li>
<li> To ensure premier service delivery, function as a liaison between the company, client, and other client-facing security personnel</li>
<li> Act as a liaison with local Law Enforcement to gather weekly intelligence, conduct facility tours, and schedule briefings</li>
<li> Coordinate team response for surveillance detection </li>
<li> Review Daily Activity Logs from the uniformed guard force to extract intelligence, conduct additional investigations, and disseminate to clients intelligence team</li>
<li> Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with client points of contact</li>

<li> Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including equipment management</li>

Facilities Support &amp; Coordination

<li>Assist with light outdoor tasks such as sweeping walkways, seasonal cleanup, and occasional weeding.</li>
<li>Serve as on-site contact for vendors including professional cleaning crews, landscapers, and contractors.</li>
<li>Respond to minor facility requests from staff and ministry leaders; assist in coordinating solutions.</li>
<li>Support readiness of spaces for rentals, meetings, and ministry events.</li>
<li>Monitor building security and basic safety practices during work hours.</li>
<li>Track and maintain inventory of facility, custodial, and landscaping supplies; notify the Director when restocking is needed.</li>

Requirements
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Prior custodial, janitorial, or basic maintenance experience preferred.</li>
<li>Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.</li>
<li>Ability to operate custodial equipment and basic hand tools safely and effectively.</li>
<li>Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Outlook email, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and electronic calendaring.</li>
<li>Strong written communication skills, including clear, professional email writing and accurate interpretation of written instructions and facility requests.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently, manage time well, and prioritize tasks.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and safety.</li>

POSITION MISSION

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
