Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and creative protein biochemist to support our in-house protein chemistry team within the Structural Biology group. They will be responsible for purifying and characterizing small-molecule protein targets to support screening pipelines, biophysical studies, and structural biology. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leveraging internal and external resources to produce high-quality proteins of therapeutic interest to support downstream in vitro assays and structural biology efforts. This role will report to the principal scientist leading protein chemistry and will have responsibility and visibility across the early discovery pipeline. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual looking to work in a fast-paced, dynamic biotech environment. The candidate will have a range of responsibilities detailed below.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Expertise in all steps of the gene-to-protein process. Experienced in the generation of high-quality recombinant proteins that are well characterized using biophysical and biochemical techniques.</li>
<li>Perform expression, purification (with and without affinity tags), and characterization of challenging targets to establish robust protocols that can be used internally or transferred to external (CRO) resources as needed. Ability to evaluate and establish protocols transferred in from external resources.</li>
<li>Develop robust and reproducible biochemical and biophysical assays to characterize enzymatic activity, protein stability, protein-protein interaction, etc.</li>
<li>Support protein chemistry by exploring new technologies, contributing to long-term activity planning and budgets, and maintaining modern instrumentation in the laboratory.</li>
<li>Communicate experimental design, results, and timelines to cross-functional teams.</li>
<li>Generate high-quality, reproducible data. Analyze and interpret data, keep organized and detailed records. Communicate findings to cross functional team members.</li>
<li>Partner and integrate with multidisciplinary, highly collaborative discovery teams to design, optimize, and produce reagents that play a critical role in structure-based drug design and screening</li>

Requirements and Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Ph.D. degree, MS +5, BS +7 years experience (or equivalent) in biochemistry, structural biology, or related discipline, and biopharmaceutical experience are a plus.</li>
<li>Expertise with the expression of proteins and protein complexes using multiple host systems (e.g., mammalian, insect, bacterial).</li>
<li>Expert in designing and optimizing DNA constructs for the expression and purification of challenging targets.</li>
<li>Expert in protein purification using AKTA and multiple chromatography techniques (e.g., affinity, IEX, SEC, HIC).</li>
<li>Extensive protein biochemistry experience working with challenging proteins and multi-protein complexes.</li>
<li>Knowledge of protein structure and experience in the preparation of high-quality protein samples for assay (e.g., BLI, SPR, DEL, TR-FRET), biophysical (e.g., ITC, DSF, MALS, SLS, DLS, CD, anSEC, thermal melt, LC-MS), and structural studies (e.g., NMR, X-ray crystallography, Cryo-EM).</li>
<li>Creative and capable of developing new techniques and methods to drive science forward.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to develop and optimize written protocols and document research progress.</li>

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Chemical process engineer to oversee daily operations at our chemical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical engineering, process management, and hands-on experience in formulating, scaling, and producing polymers. This position requires comprehensive knowledge of chemical handling, process safety, and production optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead, supervise, and coordinate all aspects of plant operations related to polymer synthesis and chemical processing.
· Manage day-to-day plant activities including production scheduling, equipment maintenance, quality control, and personnel oversight.
· Monitor and optimize production processes for efficiency, yield, and quality, particularly in the manufacture of water-based, solvent-based, or specialty polymers.
· Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements, including proper chemical handling, storage, and disposal.
· Oversee raw material procurement and inventory control of monomers, catalysts, surfactants, solvents, and other chemicals.
· Work closely with R&amp;D and QA teams to scale up lab-developed polymers to full-scale production.
· Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), batch sheets, and safety protocols.
· Train and mentor plant staff in chemical safety, operational procedures, and emergency response.
· Analyze data and implement continuous improvement strategies for process reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
· Manage capital improvement projects, plant expansions, and equipment upgrades.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Polymer Science.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in a chemical or polymer manufacturing plant, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
· Strong working knowledge of polymerization techniques (e.g., emulsion, suspension, solution, bulk).
· Familiarity with chemical process equipment (reactors, mixers, filtration units, etc.).
· Proficient in chemical handling protocols, hazard communication (GHS), and personal protective equipment (PPE) use.
· Experience with batch processing, process control systems (PLC/SCADA), and ISO/GMP standards is preferred.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with waterborne acrylics, polyurethanes, styrene-butadiene, or specialty resin systems.
Work Environment:
· Manufacturing plant environment with regular exposure to chemicals, high temperatures, and production machinery.
· Must be able to wear required PPE and respond to emergencies when necessary.

Job DescriptionJob Description: Our government client acquires seismic data needed to perform critical functions in the Offshore Program, including tract evaluation, field determinations of producible leases, royalty relief, unitization, reserves inventory, and more. There is over 250TB of seismic data in the BOEM geophysical inventory. These data are primarily received in the industry-standard digital SEGY format and are analyzed by BOEM geoscientists using the Geological Interpretive Tools (GIT). The organization receives seismic data on magnetic tape or portable hard drives in their original SEGY format. The data are stored online on hard disks in the proprietary format required by the GIT application software. The Contractor will archive geophysical data to ensure that the data are stored on the Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) Solution. This storage provides an archived copy of all SEGY data in a consistent format that can be accessed and made available to BOEM geoscientists and, after a twenty-five-year period, released to the public. The Contractors will assist with the organization and tracking of geological and geophysical information generated by BOEM and received from outside sources. Additionally, the contractors are responsible for populating the ProSource Seismic database with data related to the entire lifecycle of geophysical information from permit to public release. Responsibilities: Consultant will provide Geophysical Data Archive Support. That will include archiving geophysical data to ensure that the data are stored on the Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) Solution to provide an archived copy of all SEGY data in a consistent format that can be accessed and made available to BOEM geoscientists and, after a twenty-five-year period, released to the public. Visualization Room Support: o Providing technical assistance and coordinate maintenance for the Visualization Room.
