Responsibilities and Duties:
Staffing Management

<li>Handles departure processes and exit interviews for staff and paralegals, analyzing the information for patterns and trends.</li>
<li>Manages and monitors the day-to-day workflow of paralegals and legal practice assistants in appropriate regions.</li>
<li>Manages monthly profitability of all paralegal hours and workload.</li>
<li>Manages onboarding and off boarding when appropriate.</li>
<li>Works with the with Talent Acquisition Manager on non-legal recruitment activities (within appropriate regions).&nbsp;</li>

Employee Relations
<ul>
<li>Coaches and develops non-managerial staff on all human resources issues including communication, feedback, recognition, and developmental and disciplinary issue responsibilities.</li>
<li>Addresses and resolves employee relations issues in an effective and timely manner, ameliorating issues before they escalate.</li>
<li>Documents and reports all employee relations and recommendations to Director of Human Resources.</li>

Performance Management
<ul>
<li>Participates in staff and paralegal performance evaluation, merit increase and bonus program processes.</li>
<li>Provides day-to-day coaching, counseling and disciplinary actions guidance. Monitors the results and follows up as appropriate.</li>
</ul>
 
Compensation
<ul>
<li>Plays key role, with leadership of the HR Director, in the staff and paralegal annual review, merit increase, bonus processes and budgets of activities in appropriate region.</li>
<li>Prepares draft compensation and bonus recommendations of staff and paralegal to Director of Human Resources.</li>
<li>Manages overtime for all staff in region and report attentions to Director of Human Resources.</li>
</ul>
 
Compliance/Risk Management
<ul>
<li>Remains current on local changing legal requirements.</li>
<li>Responds to inquiries and requests from state/federal/local agencies (Department of Labor).</li>
<li>Escalates and alerts Director of Human Resources about issues of concern.</li>
</ul>
 
Professional Development/Continuous Improvement/Best Practices
<ul>
<li>Recommends new programs and changes to existing programs.</li>
<li>Stays current on local HR trends and best practices, both in general and in law firms.</li>
<li>Actively participates in professional HR associations to represent appropriate offices, identify HR best practices, network with colleagues, etc.</li>
<li>Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the Department.</li>

HR Systems and Processes
<ul>
<li>Manages the creation and maintenance of department records and files, including personnel, I-9, medical files and records.</li>
<li>Manages the maintenance, review, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.</li>
<li>Works with the HR Operations Manager in updating job descriptions.</li>
<li>Assists in the implementation of HR policies and procedures. Recommends changes as appropriate.</li>
<li>Manages the timely processing of change notifications to all functioning departments.</li>
<li>Manages reference and verification of employment requests for all personnel within appropriate region and files.</li>
<li>Manages wage notices for appropriate region (as applicable).</li>
<li>Prepares and monitors monthly HR metrics and reports and other required reports.</li>
</ul>

<li>A Bachelor’s degree is preferred from an accredited college or university or applicable experience. A certificate or a postgraduate degree in Human Resources or a related field is a plus.</li>
<li>At least ten (10) years of experience as an HR Manager, HR Generalist, Office Administrator or Secretarial Manager in a large, matrixed, multi-office professional services organization is required, with a preference for law firm experience.</li>
<li>Competent in all aspects of HR, including relevant state, federal and local laws and statutes including state employment laws for New York and Washington, DC.</li>

This is a hybrid role and will require on-site presence 4 days per week. The salary ranges for this position vary depending on the geographic location and other factors such as experience, internal equity, market data, and job-related considerations. POSITION SUMMARY
&nbsp;
World Services LLC is seeking an experienced Data Platform Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure) to support the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) as part of an enterprise data and analytics modernization effort.
&nbsp;
This role is responsible for designing, operating, and continuously improving scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based data platforms that support mission-critical analytics and data pipelines.
&nbsp;
The Data Platform Engineer ensures platform stability, performance, and cost efficiency while meeting federal operational, security, and governance requirements.
&nbsp;
Operating within a regulated federal environment, this position focuses on platform scalability and reliability to ensure uninterrupted access to data services that support Coast Guard mission operations.
&nbsp;

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
&nbsp;
Cloud Data Platform Engineering
• Design, build, and operate cloud-based data platforms supporting enterprise-scale ETL/ELT pipelines and analytics workloads.
• Configure and manage Databricks environments, including compute, storage, networking, and workspace settings.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance of data platforms.
Support platform security control implementation, aligning with the project DevSecOps Engineer
&nbsp;
Platform Reliability and Operations
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and operational best practices to maintain platform health.
• Support incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous reliability improvements.
• Meet mission-critical uptime and service reliability requirements.
&nbsp;
Performance and Cost Optimization
• Monitor and tune performance of Spark-based and cloud-native data workloads.
• Implement cost management and optimization strategies for compute, storage, and data movement.
• Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and capacity risks.
&nbsp;
Security and Integration
• Partner with DevSecOps teams to support secure platform configurations and compliance requirements.
• Integrate data platforms with CI/CD pipelines, identity and access management, and network controls.
• Support secure data integrations across cloud services and systems.
&nbsp;
Collaboration and Support
• Work closely with Senior Data Engineers to support scalable and reliable data pipelines.
• Partner with Analytics Engineers to ensure analytics workloads perform reliably.
• Provide platform engineering expertise across cross-functional teams.
• Align with the agency’s data Program Management Office (PMO) related requirements and governance standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering, data infrastructure, or similar roles.
• Strong experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Hands-on experience operating Databricks or Spark-based data platforms.
• Experience with cloud storage, networking, and resource optimization.
• Strong understanding of platform reliability, monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Experience supporting regulated, mission-critical, or federal systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
&nbsp;
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience supporting U.S. Coast Guard, DHS, DoD, or other federal civilian agencies.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM).
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
• Experience supporting large-scale, multi-team data environments.
Familiarity with DoD and federal security frameworks and requirements

EDUCATION
&nbsp;
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted for education.

Position provides daily support to our outside sales force and customers, including order fulfillment, invoicing and delivery. This position is our first line of support to our salesman in the field and is required to work directly with our 4-5 salesman in the field as well as customers via email. This is a position 90% done via email,excel, and our operating system SAGE MAS90.

Qualified Candidate will be responsible for quoting customers, shipping, order verification, and invoicing. 4years plus experience is mandatory.
