General Summary:
The Senior Project Accountant works as part of a team which performs general accounting and administrative tasks for the Mechanical Division. They will be responsible for labor timekeeping, equipment time processing, project setup, budgets, job cost analysis, customer invoicing, financial status reports and general accounting duties.

Principal Accountabilities:

<li>Responsible for weekly project payroll time, processing and reconciliation in a timely manner along with coordinating corrections with payroll staff. </li>
<li>Perform monthly customer T&amp;M &amp; lump sum invoicing; ensuring all labor, equipment &amp; other project related costs are billed. </li>

<li>Acts as backup resource for various accounting positions as needed. </li>

<li>Schedule and conduct manufacturing review meetings to maintain schedule(s).</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process bottlenecks and implement data-driven</li>
<li>solutions.</li>
<li>Provide weekly/daily project updates to project team and management as needed.</li>
<li>Propose and justify tooling and equipment to improve quality and cost down manufacturing processes.</li>
<li>Interface with purchasing regarding supplier/component selection and initiate purchase requisitions as</li>
<li>well as requesting accurate quotes for designed items and off-the-shelf items.</li>
<li>Manage monthly cost reporting and identify actions to achieve targets.</li>
<li>Maintain a professional level of project/engineering document control per quality procedures.</li>
<li>Follow up on designs and material to ensure quality and adherence to delivery schedule is maintained.</li>
<li>Reliable, consistent attendance required.</li>
</ul>
 
Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline, preferably in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing</li>
<li>Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.</li>
<li>Minimum three years of production experience with equipment manufacturing.</li>
<li>The ability to read mechanical prints.</li>
<li>The ability to read electrical prints.</li>
<li>The ability to troubleshoot and debug electrical and mechanical systems.</li>
<li>Proficient with CAD tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks</li>
</ul>
 
Additional Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Train maintenance and production staff in new systems and upgrades.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.</li>
<li>Support resolution of manufacturing issues to achieve customer delivery.</li>
<li>Operate independently maintaining a high degree of initiative and providing targeted results.</li>
<li>Follow up on designs and material to ensure quality and adherence to delivery schedule is maintained.</li>
<li>Be resourceful and exhibit well thought approach to resolving the unexpected issues that may occur.</li>
<li>Develop an understanding of manufacturing and engineering applications while staying abreast of</li>
<li>innovative technology that can be used to improve quality, lower cost, and provide targeted results.</li>
<li>Maintain a professional, ethical, friendly, and fair relationship with all business contacts, internal and</li>
<li>externally.</li>
<li>Contribute to the ongoing improvement of corporate/group functions, activities, and goals.</li>
</ul>
 
Preferred Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline</li>
<li>3+ years of related experience.</li>
<li>Proficient with Design tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.</li>
<li>Experience working with a formal quality management system.</li>
</ul>

<li>Organizational skills – effectively and professionally organize and plan for many simultaneous and</li>
<li>complex issues. The Engineer is expected to successfully complete these responsibilities on three to five</li>
<li>projects simultaneously as the business requires.</li>
<li>Team player - successfully work in teams with colleagues in varying responsibilities and backgrounds,</li>
<li>personal initiative, and ability to effectively manage themselves in a somewhat unstructured</li>
<li>environment.</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills include listening, presenting, and effective written and</li>
<li>oral communication.</li>
<li>Proven high level of competency in Windows, MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other</li>
<li>web-based applications.</li>
