JOB SUMMARY: Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented industrial manufacturing environment, uses a variety of general woodworking equipment and products to produce and process cabinet components to manufacture and build custom kitchen and bath cabinetry. Also responsible to assist other departments as production demands. 
This position is a Non-Exempt Hourly position performed in an Industrial Plant Environment. 
 
EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS:
• Production Paperwork-Work Orders 
• PC/General Equipment/Programs
• Variety of woodworking machinery and assorted hand tools
• Air powered sanders, screw guns, staple guns
• Variety of woodworking components including putty, glues and paints, Tape Measure/ Calipers
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Works with a variety of woodworking equipment including various saws, sanders, routers, spray finish equipment and fastening materials as well as miscellaneous hand tools
• Job assignment may vary on a daily basis
• Must be able to learn and apply all departmental safety, quality and productivity standards
• This job requires regular, predictable full-time attendance and all overtime as production requires
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Complete and comprehend rework / remake tickets
2. Perform Preventative Maintenance as required for specific equipment
3. All other duties as assigned.

Description of Job: 
As the Engineering Manager at Valent BioSciences, you will be responsible for advancing strategic and tactical engineering, maintenance, wastewater and controls solutions to maintain, correct, and improve plant operations. You will provide leadership and development of engineering best practices and standards, as well as conformance with site safety, environmental, and quality programs.
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Ensure equipment is operational and functionally acceptable to meet the needs of manufacturing, utilities and wastewater.</li>
<li>Manage the on-going engineering, maintenance, and controls review, problem solving, and troubleshooting of plant and wastewater systems and equipment.</li>
<li>Oversee the operation of the Central Utilities Building and proactively identify opportunities for unit operation optimization and cost reduction.</li>
<li>Drive capital project completion for process improvement and plant expansion.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality programs and procedures.</li>
</ul>
Additional Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Develop and apply advanced theories, methods and research techniques to the investigation and solution of complex technical problems.</li>
<li>Collaborate across business units to develop standards.</li>
<li>Ensure development of a solid equipment reliability program with appropriate preventive maintenance, calibrations, and spare parts.</li>
<li>Oversee the utilization and optimization of the computerized maintenance management system.</li>
<li>Ensure development and implementation of the mechanical integrity program.</li>
<li>Enforce utilization of Pre-Start-up Safety Review process.</li>
<li>Remain current on engineering knowledge and contemporary industry solutions.</li>
<li>Develop and oversee the site’s Capital Plan to deliver on continuous improvement or increased supply.</li>
<li>Perform economic analysis and feasibility studies for the installation of new equipment or facilities and/or modification and revision of existing equipment and facilities. </li>
<li>Develop and review cost estimates, consult with other department managers regarding proposals for capital expenditures, facilities repairs and revisions. </li>
<li>Provide technical assistance and information to corporate engineering and outside consultants, contractors, vendors, suppliers and various departments within the company. </li>
<li>Participate and/or assist other engineers in the design of process equipment or systems for optimum performance. </li>
<li>Oversee implementation and maintenance of IT and controls solutions that support day to day operations, as well as facilitate data retrieval for process troubleshooting and improvement.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>B.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent. </li>
<li>Demonstrated competence and progressive technical experience. </li>
<li>10+ years related experience with at least 7 years leadership experience.</li>
<li>Project Management experience. </li>
</ul>

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team.&nbsp;
They&nbsp;will perform preventative and predictive maintenance. Will perform periodic testing, inspections, troubleshooting and repairs. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently, and effectively. This position supports the daily achievement of production goals through ensuring the proper functionality of our machines.
Responsibilities:

<li>Repair and perform basic maintenance on industrial machinery (i.e., automation, mechanical, electrical, conveying systems,&nbsp;electronics, PLCs, control systems and sensors on the machines.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Identify root cause of basic mechanical and electrical issues and perform essential repairs that may include welding, fabricating parts, plumbing, or replacing defective components. Works with appropriate personnel and management if further attention is required to resolve the issue</li>
<li>Diagnose and conduct overall conveyor maintenance on schedule as required</li>
<li>Perform preventive maintenance on schedule for processing machines and supporting equipment.&nbsp;Assemble, install, test, and maintain basic electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures,&nbsp;Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components</li>
<li>Troubleshooting and replace or repair drive chains, gears, belts, pullies, shafts, rollers, electric motors, and gear boxes</li>

Qualifications and Requirements:

<li>High School Diploma or GED Required</li>
<li>Prefer additional trade or technical school education for maintenance, mechanical, welding, HVAC, or electrical</li>
<li>Knowledge of electrical, electrical testing devices, pneumatic and hydraulic systems</li>
<li>Prefer 2+ years of experience in industrial, commercial, or facility systems maintenance</li>
<li>Maintenance experience in the food, poultry or agriculture industry not required but is a plus</li>
<li>Reading and comprehension skills necessary to read, understand and follow SOP’s and other written instructions or work details</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers and management.</li>
