Description of Job: 
As a Project Engineer at Valent BioSciences you will be responsible for completing professional level engineering assignments related to production and utilities areas. You will plan and execute small to medium size projects requiring equipment, piping, instrumentation, and electrical design. You will devise new approaches to problems encountered. Examples of project assignments include process improvements, safety and ergonomic improvements, capacity increase, and utility conservation. As a Project Engineer, you will have additional project team responsibilities, as required, during major capital projects.
 
Key Responsibilities:

<li>Plans, schedules, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work including P&amp;ID development, equipment and instrumentation design specifications, process requirement specifications, work scope development, equipment procurement, project cost control, construction oversight through project closeout. </li>
<li>Supervises changes, modifications, and improvements in process and utility systems to ensure compliance with safety, production, and regulatory requirements. </li>
<li>Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering practices, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making minor process adaptations and modifications. </li>
<li>Checks system drawings by walking through to the end points of responsibility, including checking pipes and valves for proper identification and tagging. </li>
<li>Generate project requirement documentation.

<ul>
<li>The position is responsible to set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a number of press equipment</li>
<li>Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated such as hanging plates or installing cylinders, examine plates/cylinders for imperfections and checks for correct positioning of images, prepping blankets, adjusting tension and register etc.</li>
<li>Make necessary color corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work</li>
<li>Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required</li>
<li>Performs periodic maintenance recommended by the manufacturer</li>
</ul>
Qualifications 
<ul>
<li>Requires ability to be trained in&nbsp;offset printing procedures, materials and specifications, equipment, and safety requirements and skills to perform assignments</li>
<li>Skill to read and understand job specifications and knowledge of press capabilities to determine the most appropriate press usage, press settings and materials needed to run the job successfully</li>
<li>Skill to make a variety of precise settings of controls, settings, and adjustments, and to perform routine operational maintenance of equipment</li>
<li>Skill in routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment</li>
<li>Skill in use of micrometer to mount and align the printing plate correctly</li>
</ul>
 Additional Information 
The pay range for this role at the noted location is $24.00 - $34.32 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficient, performance, shift, and location. In addition to the base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include a sign-on bonus, overtime, shift differential, call-in and stand-by pay.
