The CAD &amp; PDM Administrator plays a critical role in supporting engineering and product development operations by ensuring CAD data is organized, secure, and accessible, and that Product Data Management (PDM) systems function reliably. This role administers AutoDesk Inventor, AutoDesk Vault, and related PLM tools, supports system integrations, manages software configurations and licenses, and provides technical guidance and training to internal engineering teams. The administrator will support the entire product lifecycle through strong data management practices and alignment with configuration management and engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
CAD &amp; PDM Administration
<ul>
<li>Administer and maintain AutoDesk Inventor Vault PDM and CAD software environments.</li>
<li>Define, configure, and maintain PDM workflows using AutoDesk Vault.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Configuration Management to define, configure, and maintain PLM workflows using AutoDesk Fusion 360.</li>
<li>Oversee and manage software licenses for all AutoDesk PDM and CAD tools.</li>
<li>Manage configurations, software upgrades, environments, and licensing for CAD and PDM systems.</li>
<li>Coordinate with external vendors for CAD, PDM, and PLM support.</li>
</ul>
Systems Integration &amp; Data Management
<ul>
<li>Support integrations and data sharing across internal engineering disciplines and departments.</li>
<li>Develop and implement automation through workflows, templates, and standardized processes.</li>
<li>Assist with software budget forecasting, Statements of Work, contract reviews, and licensing agreements.</li>
<li>Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and maintain CAD standards, templates, libraries, and configurations.</li>
</ul>
User Support &amp; Training
<ul>
<li>Provide technical support to CAD, PDM, and PLM system users, including installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting.</li>
<li>Develop and deliver comprehensive CAD and PDM/PLM training programs.</li>
<li>Create and maintain documentation, training materials, and work instructions.</li>
<li>Publish tips, techniques, and best practices for CAD and data management system usage.</li>
<li>Train and mentor CAD users to improve proficiency and standard adherence.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
Education
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical field.</li>
</ul>
Experience
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 5+ years of experience administering PDM software (AutoDesk Vault required; Windchill preferred/considered).</li>
<li>Minimum of 5 years of experience using AutoDesk Inventor.</li>
<li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in the aerospace or defense industry.</li>
<li>Experience migrating or implementing new CAD and PDM/PLM software systems.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Working knowledge of PLM interactions with CAD systems (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, CREO).</li>
<li>Knowledge of product development processes, BOM structures, and material specifications.</li>
<li>Experience with CAD license management and CAD software installation/administration.</li>
<li>Familiarity with product lifecycle development processes and configuration control (revisions, release levels, approvals).</li>
<li>Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.</li>
<li>Flexibility in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.</li>

What You’ll Do
As a Service Coordinator (Project Engineer), you’ll be the behind-the-scenes expert ensuring our custom closet projects are engineered, prepped, and ready for flawless installation. You’ll work closely with our design, manufacturing, and installation teams to keep projects moving and customers happy. In this role, you will:
· Use Cabinet Vision software to prepare and process custom closet designs
· Export and convert design files (e.g., Closet Pro to CSV), confirm wall dimensions, and prep jobs for production
· Review approved jobs for buildability and installation requirements
· Coordinate special order items and ensure timely production prep
· Support field teams with real-time problem-solving during installations
· Occasionally visit job sites to take measurements or verify specs
What You Bring
· 1+ year of CAD experience
· Familiarity with Cabinet Vision (preferred, not required) or AutoCAD (required)
· Strong attention to detail and ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment
· Comfort with software tools and technical documentation
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal oversight
