Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

<li>Work on assigned launch activity in conjunction with the Program Manager. </li>
<li>Ensure the design of new lines are safe and meet ergonomic requirements</li>
<li>Works closely with Operations on design and layout with the operator in mind</li>
<li>Minimizes square footage and maximizes sales per square foot</li>
<li>Develop thorough capital and tooling requirements for quotations of new business</li>
<li>Approves prints and changes for new programs</li>
<li>Completes feasibility studies on new quotations, highlights risks and works with the customer to resolve</li>
<li>Sources capital equipment and tooling for new programs</li>
<li>Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment</li>
<li>Sets up processes to meet scrap and efficiency targets</li>
<li>Establishes and maintains a capital and tooling budget and meets targets</li>
<li>Ensures that the lines are launched within the approved budget</li>
<li>Interact with the customers on launch issues, participate in customer APQP meetings</li>
<li>Leads Run at Rate activities ensuring successful completion</li>
<li>Maintains thorough documentation for manufacturing lines including training and job instructions</li>
<li>Work to minimize scrap on future and existing programs</li>
<li>Execute engineering changes as needed</li>
<li>Update existing lines for capacity increases and VA/VE activities</li>
<li>Maintain plant and line layout</li>
<li>Develop and update PFMEA</li>
<li>Work closely with quality to resolve manufacturing issues and develop control plans</li>
<li>Write work instructions </li>
<li>Participate in change over process</li>
<li>Identify opportunities to speed change over processes</li>
<li>Maintain a high level of organization</li>
<li>Work with the team to establish 5S criteria for cells</li>
<li>Some travel may be required to support customer locations</li>
