<li>Completing attorney dictation through firm software including correspondence, pleadings and medical records requests, etc.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Utilization of e-filing procedures through various court systems including civil courts and the workers compensation commission.&nbsp;</li>
<li>&nbsp;Assist with preparation for trials/hearings including preparing exhibits; scheduling witnesses; ensuring that witnesses are ready when needed.</li>
<li>&nbsp;Scheduling depositions and independent medical evaluations.&nbsp; This includes working with opposing attorneys for scheduling and doctor’s offices.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Requesting medical records through HIPAA, subpoena or Form 43 documents as required and following up with medical providers for requested records.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Assisting with overflow of work in the office including dictation for other attorneys, filing, etc.</li>
<li>&nbsp;Other duties as assigned.</li>

Qualifications 
Education, Skills and Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>&nbsp;High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.</li>
<li>&nbsp;3+ years of Administrative Assistant experience supporting attorneys in a legal office setting</li>
<li>Experience with electronic filing for workers’ compensation and general liability preferred, as well as prior experience with typing dictation &nbsp;</li>
<li>&nbsp;Working knowledge of court rules and procedures.</li>
<li>&nbsp;Microsoft Word experience and required; Excel and PowerPoint experience preferred.</li>
<li>&nbsp;Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.</li>
<li>&nbsp;Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.</li>
<li>&nbsp;Excellent telephone, writing, and proofreading skills.</li>
<li>&nbsp;Must be self-motivated and able to meet deadlines under pressure.</li>
<li>&nbsp;Must have the ability to work as part of a team, as well as to work independently.</li>
<li>&nbsp;Organization, Planning, Attention to Detail, and Dependability.</li>
</ul>
