JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 
RMIS Team Support: 
<ul>
<li>Provide strategic legal guidance to RMIS team regarding insurance-related risks, coverage design, and enterprise risk transfer strategies. </li>
<li>Develop and implement internal legal and compliance policies related to insurance. </li>
<li>Participate in audits, training, and risk assessments to support corporate compliance and claims best practices. </li>
<li>Serve as an officer of the captive ensuring compliance and strategic effectiveness. </li>

Claims Defense: 
<ul>
<li>Support claims management by advising on complex or high-exposure claims, subrogation opportunities, and settlement negotiations. </li>
<li>Provide legal opinions on coverage issues, claims, and related disputes under applicable state and federal laws. </li>
<li>Advise internal stakeholders on coverage determinations, reservations of rights, denials, and related claims matters. </li>
<li>Represent the organization in coverage litigation and coordinate with outside counsel as needed. </li>
<li>Manage litigation matters as lead counsel, including case assessment, pleadings, discovery, depositions, expert coordination, and trial preparation and participation. </li>

Program Policy and Coverage Management:

<li>Draft, review, and update Captive insurance policies, endorsements, and underwriting guidelines to ensure compliance and alignment with risk management strategies. </li>
<li>Analyze and interpret insurance policies, including general liability, professional liability, property, pollution, cyber, and other specialty lines.</li>
<li>Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting insurance coverage and ensure timely updates to policy language.</li>
<li>Collaborate with internal teams and external brokers/insurers to assess insurance needs and maintain appropriate coverage.</li>
</ul>
Farm Credit System Engagement: 
<ul>
<li>Deliver presentation – speak at carrier and broker meetings, board and client board meetings, internal team presentations, conferences, webinars and other key engagements.</li>
</ul>
Loss Mitigation:
<ul>
<li>Develop Loss mitigation strategies – assist in complex loss prevention efforts, including customer policy updates (i.e. handbooks), regulatory impact assessments and risk mitigation best practices.</li>

JOB REQUIREMENTS

<li>Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction required. </li>

We are looking for Experienced Licensed Investigators in Long Island, NY to investigate fraud and conduct covert surveillance in the field (from your vehicle).

What does aN Experienced FIELD Surveillance Investigator do?
As a Surveillance Investigator at Ethos Risk Services, you will conduct covert surveillance, review files, and draft detailed case reports. Working autonomously from your vehicle, you will capture video evidence of surveillance targets, collaborate with our Operations Managers, and ultimately improve the integrity of the health care and insurance industry. What you need to be successful
To qualify for this position candidates must possess:
<ul>
<li>A valid private investigator license</li>
<li>A valid driver's license</li>
<li>A well-maintained / reliable vehicle (preferably with tinted windows)</li>
</ul>
In this role you will use discretion, communicate with our Operations Managers regularly, and apply critical thinking skills while conducting surveillance and gathering evidence. Adaptability, attention to detail, and strong analytical capabilities are essential qualities for success at Ethos.
Candidates who are self-motivated, resourceful, and able to maintain a high level of professionalism in various situations will thrive in this position.
Work Schedule
Most investigations will begin at 6AM and may require you to leave your home between 4-5AM. Candidates who are willing to work most weekends and holidays will be prioritized in the hiring process.
