Consilio's ELS Direct Hire division is seeking a highly organized administrative assistant on behalf of a boutique law firm in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate must possess a hands-on, proactive approach who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
•Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys and legal professionals, including calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and expense reporting.
•Serve as primary support for legal assistants during absences to ensure continuity of client service and administrative operations, including document preparation, e-filing, correspondence, time entry, and calendar management.
•Draft, format, and proofread correspondence, reports, and presentations with accuracy and attention to detail.
•Organize and maintain electronic and physical filing systems in accordance with firm policies and best practices.
•Coordinate client billing processes, including time entry review and invoice tracking.
•Collaborate with paralegals and legal assistants to assess workloads and assist with task allocation, including preparing binders for depositions and trials as needed.
•Assist with scheduling and organizing internal meetings, CLE programs, and practice group events.
•Track deadlines, deliverables, and key dates using task and project management tools.
•Support client development initiatives by preparing materials for pitches, proposals, and events.
•Assist with planning and executing firmwide social events, including coordinating with vendors and supporting event setup and breakdown.
•Liaise with internal departments (Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, Finance) to ensure timely resolution of administrative and operational needs.
•Perform other duties as assigned to meet firm and client needs.
 
Education and Experience
•Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent relevant work experience will be considered.
•Minimum of two (2) years of administrative experience, preferably in a legal or professional services environment.

What you’ll be doing…
 You’re an expert with HVAC, plumbing, electrical and even building mechanicals… and if there’s a maintenance problem with our building, you’ve got it covered! Your know-how and commitment to excellence will ensure that Verizon’s building systems always operate at maximum efficiency. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
<ul>
<li>
Starting, operating, repairing and maintaining various types of heating and air conditioning plants and associated equipment (i.e. air handling equipment, refrigeration equipment, etc.).
</li>
<li>
Maintaining and repairing motor controller and associated electrical equipment and control circuits.
</li>
<li>
Installing, repairing and calibrating various makes of pneumatic and/or electric controls required for the operation of temperature and humidity control equipment.
</li>
<li>
Performing inspections and making repairs on equipment/systems as required by company practices and/or regulations/ordinances.
</li>
<li>
Reviewing and interpreting word orders, operating instructions, diagrams, building plans and mechanical equipment drawings.
</li>
<li>
Climbing ladders, working aloft, and moving/lifting items generally not exceeding 100 lbs.
</li>
<li>
Working evenings, weekends, holidays and unscheduled shifts as determined by the needs of the business.
</li>
<li>
Work tour hours are 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday (hours may vary). Overtime is as needed by the business.
</li>

What we’re looking for…
 You know HVAC and other building systems like the back of your hand, and are anxious to put your knowledge and skills to work for the V Team. You like to be busy and well-organized to stay on top of things. You take pride in a job well done because you know better matters!

You’ll need to have:
<ul>
<li>
Valid refrigeration license (Q-01) and ability to pass, obtain and maintain a current certificate of fitness for one or all of the following: fire standpipe, sprinkler, welding, oil burner and air compressor operation.
</li>
<li>
Universal Technician Certification as designated by EPA regulations-40 CFR Part 82 Subpart H.
</li>
<li>
Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
</li>
</ul>

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
<ul>
<li>
Relevant vocational or technical training or 3 or more years of relevant work experience.
</li>
</ul>
