Job Description 
The Global Bulk Drug Substance (BDS) Process Hygiene Technical Lead plays a critical role in ensuring process hygiene excellence across AbbVie’s global BDS manufacturing network. This is a cross-functional leadership role that requires a deep understanding of BDS manufacturing, and the ability to influence global site stakeholders and leadership. The Global BDS leads role is to improve and maintain a best-in-class global Process Hygiene Index across AbbVie’s BDS network and standardize long-term procedural and technical solutions to mitigate hygiene risks across all global BDS sites.
Responsibilities:
•Provide global oversight of process hygiene performance and manage hygiene-related risks across multiple BDS manufacturing sites and regions, including but not limited to: Cell culture inoculation, production bioreactors, chromatography, ultrafiltration, and bulk fill. •Lead a global Center of Excellence (CoE) for BDS process hygiene, focusing on risk awareness, procedural excellence, and technical innovation. •Assess shop floor operations and FUE (Facility, Utility, and Equipment) design to identify process hygiene risks. •Recommend and drive procedural updates and documentation governance aligned with hygiene best practices. •Identify and champion innovative technical solutions to mitigate hygiene risk and standardize successful approaches network-wide. •Collaborate with Global and Site Engineering to drive capital improvement initiatives. •Influence annual Capital Planning and Long-Range Capital Planning processes by integrating hygiene-driven project needs. •Lead or support investigation of hygiene-related events; drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. •Develop and maintain analytical tools to report and track global process hygiene metrics. .
Qualifications 
•Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline e.g., Chemical Engineering Microbiology, Bioengineering, or similar discipline. •Experience: Minimum of 7 years in BDS manufacturing, with demonstrated expertise in upstream and downstream operations. •Strong knowledge of GMP requirements and cross-functional roles in technical operations, documentation, and quality systems. •Proven track record in technical problem-solving, risk assessment, and hygiene-related process improvements. •Experience with capital and operational budgeting, particularly with respect to hygiene risk mitigation and single-use systems. •Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and lead across multiple functions and global sites. •Demonstrated ability to prioritize and escalate competing demands effectively to site and network leadership. •Deep understanding of shop floor operations and technical systems within BDS manufacturing.

GENERAL SUMMARY
 
The Surgery Scheduler schedules and preauthorizes surgeries and specialized procedures for the physician/medical practice including the scheduling of follow up appointments in the office. The Surgery Scheduler reviews pre-op tests required, medications, allergies, and medical history with patient. Understands insurances and manages pre-certifications required for obtaining benefits. The Surgery Scheduler must be able to respond to both written and oral correspondence regarding scheduling changes/cancellations in a timely, accurate manner. Scheduler will multitask and handle obstacles with outstanding customer service skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

<li>Schedules office, surgery centers and hospital based medical procedures, for patients with appropriate provider and time/location slot, utilizing appropriate scheduling code.</li>
<li>Pre-authorizes surgeries through insurance companies and schedules procedures at the designated facility and accurately enters information into the scheduling system.</li>
<li>Maintains a surgical log for statistical analysis.</li>
<li>Provides pre-surgical packets to patients confirming date and pre-operative instructions.</li>
<li>Responsible for coordinating with the surgical facilities for any special equipment or personnel needed for the surgery.</li>
<li>Ensures all pre-operative labs are ordered, tracked for completion and scanned correctly into the patient’s electronic medical record.</li>
<li>Effectively utilizes clinical knowledge when determining if appointment is consistent with the diagnosis/indications indicated by the provider.</li>
<li>Responsible for auditing the automated phone system each day to ensure the call information has been correctly changed and the phone call schedules changed if necessary.</li>
<li>Verifies and re-verifies scheduling for accuracy before schedules are published.</li>
<li>Interfaces with appropriate surgery center and hospital staff to ensure a cohesive working relationship in providing patient care services.</li>
<li>Must treat our patients and our referring physicians with the utmost courtesy and respect whether in person or on the phone.</li>
<li>Maintains patient confidentiality.</li>

SUMMARY The Intake Coordinator at Hummingbird ABA Therapy plays a vital role in welcoming families, guiding them through the intake process, and ensuring a smooth transition into services. This role also supports communication between families, staff, and referral sources while maintaining compliance with Pennsylvania IBHS regulations and Hummingbird’s neurodiversity-affirming ABA practices. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, highly organized, and familiar with CentralReach and ABA operations. 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Client Intake &amp; Onboarding 
<ul>
<li>Serve as the first point of contact for new and prospective families, providing warm, professional, and compassionate communication.</li>
<li>Conduct intake interviews, explain services, and answer questions regarding ABA therapy.</li>
<li>Collect, verify, and manage client documentation including insurance information, medical records, authorizations, and consent forms.</li>
<li>Verify benefits and coordinate with billing staff to confirm coverage.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate intake records in CentralReach and ensure compliance with HIPAA and IBHS regulations.</li>
<li>Guide families step-by-step from referral to service initiation, reducing delays and ensuring a clear understanding of the process.</li>
<li>Provide excellent customer service by addressing family concerns promptly and professionally.</li>
<li>Build and maintain positive relationships with referral sources such as schools, physicians, and community providers. </li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Scheduling &amp; Coordination 
<ul>
<li>Coordinate the scheduling of initial assessments and service start dates with clinical supervisors and Scheduling Coordinator.</li>
<li>Communicate regularly with waitlisted families and staff to ensure alignment of schedules.</li>
<li>Collaborate with the admin team to support staffing and case assignments. </li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Operational Support 
<ul>
<li>Track intake progress, identify potential barriers, and proactively problem-solve.</li>
<li>Support reporting on intake and referral metrics to leadership.</li>
<li>Collaborate with the team to continuously improve processes related to intake, communication, and onboarding.</li>
<li>Participate in staff training, meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.</li>

WORK ENVIRONMENT

<li>100% Remote </li>
<li>Flexible Schedule of 15-20 hours/week based on the Intake Coordinator's availability with hours to be completed between 10:00 am-6:00 pm (EST) </li>

Requirements:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
<ul>
<li>Associates degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, Education, or related field preferred </li>
<li>Minimum 2 years of experience in intake and client services in ABA required</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of ABA operations and insurance processes is highly preferred.</li>
<li>Experience using CentralReach is highly preferred.</li>
</ul>
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
<ul>
<li>Must have PA Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI Fingerprinting prior to hire.</li>
