wastebaskets and garbage, cleaning of refrigerator, cleaning of the bathroom (bathtub, sink, and toilet), cleaning of kitchen (washing dishes, counter tops and the floor.)
4.&nbsp; Accompany the client to doctor’s appointments, only with approval from the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor, upon family member request.
5.&nbsp; Follows the policies of Senior Helpers, including, but not limited to, attendance, punctuality, adherence to dress code and maintaining a professional appearance, wearing of proper identification, accepting of assignments, completion of time sheets and weekly aide activity sheets (accurately reflecting the activities and care performed), meeting health and in-service requirements.
6.&nbsp; Reports changes in the client’s status to the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor.
7.&nbsp; Responds to an emergency by calling 911 and Senior Helpers.
8.&nbsp; Adhere to infection control and safety procedures that are in accordance with agency policy.
9.&nbsp; Maintains confidentiality of client information and records, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
10.&nbsp; Emotional support, companionship, socialization and motivation through conversation, encouragement and recreational activities.

Job Description 
Nursing Assistant Training
Miller's is proud to provide training for those interested in a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant free of charge.
Qualifications 
Classroom Instruction
Each student is required to complete 36-40 hours of classroom work. All students are required to pass (with 80%) all of the tests administered during the classroom portion. (Each student has 3 attempts to pass)
If a student does not pass the classroom phase of the course they will not be placed into the clinicals.
Clinical Practicum
Each student is required to complete 75 hours of supervised practicum in a long-term care facility. During the practicum, the student must perform all required skills successfully. The first 16 hours of practicum is with the class instructor. Absence during this time will result in being excused from the program.
During the practicum, the student may be assigned to work with a preceptor who will assist the student in organization and time management. At the completion of the program the preceptor as well as the instructor will be given an evaluation sheet to complete regarding the students progress during the clinical.
All skills checklists booklets (RCP’s) not signed during the classroom must be demonstrated and signed off during the clinicals by the clinical instructor, or other licensed nursing professional. Completed checklist (RCP) must be submitted at the completion of the clinicals with all required skills completed or will not be eligible for the required state exam.
A “clinical sign-in record” is supplied to each student. This form must be completed by the student and signed by a qualified licensed professional on a daily basis. The student must include the following information on the sheet: date and actual hours worked, signature of student, cosigned by licensed supervisor.
 Additional Information 
Students are required to pass a criminal background check along with a TB test and physical prior to starting the course. Attendance to all classroom sessions is mandatory in order to meet the program requirements as set by the Indiana State Department of Health. Unsatisfactory performance or attendance issues may result in dismissal from the course/program. Students should check with the facility for details on the dress code requirements.
When a student that successfully completes the course he/she will be awarded a certificate of completion, will get a scheduled test date, and will have the scheduled test paid for by Miller’s Merry Manor if hired and in good standing as an employee. If the student does not pass the 1st test it may be retaken and paid for by Miller’s a second time. The Director of Nursing (DON) leads all nursing operations, ensuring exceptional care and service for clients. You will manage and develop nursing staff, coordinate care plans, and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards. This role combines leadership, clinical expertise, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care.
Essential Functions
Client Care
<ul>
<li>Manage health care of all clients and communicate with families, staff, and physicians.</li>
<li>Facilitate continuity of care for clients receiving home health services.</li>
<li>Assess clients on a routine and as-needed basis; document and report changes.</li>
<li>Share 24/7 on-call responsibility for nursing coverage.</li>
<li>Notify staff and families of client condition changes and treatments.</li>
<li>Coordinate with other departments to ensure consistent, proactive care.</li>
<li>Develop and update individualized care plans.</li>
<li>Provide client and family education on care and procedures.</li>
<li>Stay current on nursing practices through continuing education.</li>
<li>Respond to emergencies in alignment with nursing protocols.</li>
</ul>
Leadership &amp; Supervision
<ul>
<li>Direct and supervise nursing staff, providing coaching and performance feedback.</li>
<li>Train, educate, and develop nursing staff; delegate responsibilities appropriately.</li>
<li>Review and maintain client charts and medication records.</li>
<li>Monitor medication administration for accuracy.</li>
<li>Address and resolve client, family, and staff concerns.</li>
<li>Promote company values and represent the organization positively.</li>
</ul>
Administration &amp; Compliance
<ul>
<li>Monitor and enforce infection control procedures.</li>
<li>Review incident reports and medication errors; provide follow-up training.</li>
<li>Maintain TB records in compliance with state regulations.</li>
<li>Conduct pre-admission screenings and complete admission documentation.</li>
<li>Maintain Home Care Provider Client Roster and nursing attendance records.</li>
<li>Complete required documentation, assessments, and care plans.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Required Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.</li>
<li>Active Minnesota RN license in good standing.</li>
<li>Proficient in English (written and verbal) and computer skills.</li>
<li>Strong assessment, communication, and leadership skills.</li>
<li>Knowledge of federal, state, and local nursing regulations.</li>
<li>Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies.</li>
<li>Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.</li>
<li>Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.</li>
<li>Ability to lift/carry 30+ lbs. and meet physical requirements.</li>
<li>Availability for on-call duties and emergency response.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Experience with older adults.</li>
<li>Minimum three (3) years of nursing leadership experience.</li>
