Job Summary
The Community Health Medical Assistant provides STI and PrEP education, treatment, and clinical support for the PrEP Clinic, as well as for community health’s daytime STI testing and primary care medical providers. Locations include 1525, MRC, and mobile testing. Direct supervision is under the Sr. Director of Community Health and Wellness and includes drawing blood, giving injections, administering oral medications, taking vital signs, and completing documentation of activities in the medical chart per practitioner orders. This person also provides education in one-on-one or group settings for STIs and PrEP.
Role Specific-Knowledge, Skills, and Talents Required:
•Fluency in medical terminology
•Draws blood and ensures proper specimen handling and storage.
• Gives intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections under the supervision of an appropriate clinician, as ordered by licensed independent practitioners and within practice limits.
• Accurately takes and records patient vital signs and documents activities and results in the medical record.
• Independently educates patients or targeted populations, providing HIV, PrEP, STI, and general sexual wellness information using age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, agency-approved materials and methods.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary environment in the Clinic.
• Documents all work activities according to established standards, collecting data for
production in weekly, monthly, and annual reporting, and assists with the creation of reports as needed.
• Assists with the making of STI testing kits, incentive items, and other physical inventory as needed
• Can perform outreach to community agencies and social groups, and promotes collaboration and referrals to Whitman-Walker programs as appropriate
• Routinely participate in weekly team meetings and one-on-one supervisor check-ins
• Routinely participate in QI activities as directed by the SR. Director of Community Health
• Daily Team Review of clinical schedule in order to promote efficiency, communication, and advanced preparation among all members of the medical team
Education and Experience Required
• Graduation from an approved medical assistant program is required, and medical office or HIV/AIDS experience is preferred.

• CPR Certified
• Experience working with an ethnically, culturally, and racially diverse work staff preferred; ability to work harmoniously with diverse groups of individuals required

We have a new need for a full time MRI Technologist at the Mike O'Callaghan Federal Medical Center, Nellis AFB, NV. $2,000 sign on bonus available for this opportunity!!
The duties include, but are not limited to the following:
• Performs routine and complex MRI examinations. • Reviews images to ensure quality standards are met. • Ensures all guidelines are followed for use of any MRI machine and appropriate coils are properly used to demonstrate patient’s anatomy. • Screens patient’s history for contraindications, assesses ferromagnetic implants, and prepares patients to ensure MRI scans are performed safely. • Sets controls for appropriate weighted images and sequence for each scan performed. • Operates digital radiography systems to transfer images from MRI machine operator’s console to Picture Archiving and Communications System.
• Explains methods and safety precautions of procedures, starts IVs when needed, positions patient and produces images for the requested examination. • Directed by staff Radiologists, follows NCOIC and IOC guidelines. • Uses Electronic Health Record to arrive and depart patients for scheduled and unscheduled examinations. • Performs other administrative duties relative to MRI. • Provides after-hours on call imaging support for the Emergency Department and inpatient units. • Age range of patients: Typically, 6 years of age and older. • Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to include advanced knowledge of cross sectional anatomy applicable to MRI. • Medical terminology and ethics; legal aspects of medicine; healthcare accreditation standards; MRI physics • Be able to instruct patients in preparations for exams. • Comprehensive knowledge of administering contrast media. Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school or general education development equivalency. Must have completed an accredited MRI technologist course.
Experience: Possess at least 2 years independently operating MRI equipment. Experience operating MRI equipment, producing and processing exam images, and assisting with fluoroscopy and special MRI procedures.
Licensure/Certification: Current registration as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Must maintain currency during the duration of the contract.
Life Support Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA or ARC 
Security: Must be able to pass a Government background check and obtain a Government security clearance.

MAJOR DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
Hours may include some evenings and/or Saturday work. While every effort is made to assign staff to one clinic site regularly, Unity may change the assigned clinic and/or site temporarily or permanently, depending upon the need.

Job DescriptionHome Health Aide
The Home Health Aide is responsible for providing personal care and designated health-related services designed to maintain the client’s physical and emotional well-being for those clients living at RM Management.&nbsp; This position assists clients with tasks of daily living as indicated on the Service Agreement, the Medication Administration Record (MAR), and other services as delegated by the RN.
Essential Functions (Including but not limited to the following)
<ul>
<li>Administer medications for clients while remaining compliant with the Medication Administration Record (M.A.R.).&nbsp;</li>
<li>Provide personal/direct care to clients including household and hygiene care, not limited to dressing, showering, grooming, escorting clients and toilet assistance.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Execute all required paperwork, documentation and reporting by state mandated laws.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Perform routine procedures while complying with policy’s from RM Management both proactively and when directed by leadership.</li>
<li>Works to assure facility is in compliance with federal, state and local standards/regulations.</li>
<li>Encourage clients to participate in scheduled activity programs.</li>
<li>Inform R.N. of medications or supply needs.</li>
<li>Regular and punctual attendance.</li>
</ul>
Required Qualifications&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>High School education and CNA/NAR or H.H.A. Certificate preferred.</li>
<li>Understand and adhere to the Vulnerable Adult and abuse policy, Bill of Rights and HIPPA.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Complete a minimum of eight (8) hours of documented training.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>High level of independent problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Ability to lift/carry objects weighing up to approximately 30 lbs. or more.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal English language skills.</li>
<li>Excellent listening and response skills in communicating with the client community.</li>
<li>Keeps all client/personnel information confidential.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Experience in working with older adults.</li>
<li>Understanding of standard precautions used for infection control.</li>
<li>Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions and documentation including medical terminology in English.</li>
