Position Summary
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) works collaboratively with a supervising physician to assess, diagnose, and treat clients with current or potential psychiatric-mental health conditions. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive physical and psychosocial evaluations, prescribing medications, and providing both scheduled and emergency psychiatric services. The NP develops and manages individualized treatment plans, ensuring effective and appropriate care with ongoing evaluation and supervision.

Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Provide psychiatric care in outpatient and partial hospital program settings to patients experiencing changes in mental status, or chronic/urgent psychiatric and medical conditions.</li>
<li>Conduct psychiatric evaluations, medication reviews, health histories, physical exams, and risk assessments.</li>
<li>Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests; manage consultations and appointments on both a scheduled and emergent basis.</li>
<li>Prescribe medications in accordance with clinic policies, approved formularies, and relevant state regulations.</li>

Additional Board Certification in other specialties may be considered with relevant psychiatric experience and/or postgraduate coursework.</li>
<li>Current DEA Registration Certificate required.</li>
<li>Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience in psychiatric care required.</li>
