Summary: We are&nbsp;seeking a dedicated and skilled MICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week night shift contract. This Short Term Acute Care facility is looking for professionals who can work collaboratively in high-acuity environments, with a strong commitment to patient care. This opportunity is open to first-time travelers and those with at least one year of recent MICU experience.
Responsibilities:

<li>Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the MICU.</li>
<li>Monitor, assess, and respond to patients' needs and changes in condition.</li>
<li>Administer medications, manage ventilators, and provide critical care interventions.</li>
<li>Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other nursing staff.</li>

<li>Completing progress notes with team at 6-month review</li>
<li>Documenting TTCM meetings</li>

STAFF DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING
The COTA will provide the necessary support, training, and guidance in their provision of services to the persons served. The COTA must also comply with all mandatory trainings identified by their licensing board as well as trainings mandated by their respective supervisor(s) and/or MECA Therapies and adhering to the following:

<ul>
<li> The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for assisting in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. </li>
<li> Under the clinical guidance of Registered Nurses, directs and guides patient teaching activities commensurate with education and demonstrated competencies. </li>
<li> Under the clinical supervision of a Registered Nurse, assists in the assessment of the physical, psychological and social dimensions of patients in the health care unit and, as necessary in the housing units. </li>
<li> Assists in planning and implementing individual treatment programs, in the health care unit and housing unit, by utilizing available resources and consulting with registered nurses, physicians and correctional officers. </li>
<li> Implements medical plan through administering medications and intervention in accordance with provider instructions. </li>
<li> Documents nursing encounters, patient response, effectiveness, complications etc., and communicate information to supervisory personnel and physicians, in accordance with provider's orders. </li>

 JOB REQUIREMENTS The following requirements list the minimum to qualify. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
