Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure
- Experience in school-based OT services, with a solid understanding of IEP processes
- Previous work in healthcare, home health, or pediatric therapy is highly desirable
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and school teams
- Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to a variety of student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs/504 plans
- Develop treatment goals and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to integrate therapy into daily school routines
- Contribute to evaluations, re-evaluations, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Provide support and education to staff on OT best practices within the school setting
