Our office is looking for a talented and pleasant patient care coordinator to take on all administrative and front office duties to provide an exceptional experience to all patients and visitors. Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for making a positive and lasting first impression. The ideal candidate should bridge the gap between customer obsession and clerical management. You should be able to deal with complaints and give accurate information. The goal is to make guests and visitors feel comfortable and valued while during their visit which means the following:

Position Title: Patient Care Coordinator
Status: Full-Time – Non- Exempt Hourly Professional
Report to: Dental Operations Manager (DOM)
Supervisor: Assistant Patient Support Team Manager (APSTM) 
 
Job Overview
As a Patient Care Coordinator you will play an important role in working with our clinical team. You will schedule patient appointments using a scheduling software, verify dental insurance, answer insurance and billing questions, and oversee patient account management. This role is critical to the success of our patients and practice. You will provide exceptional customer service to all individuals calling into the clinic.
 
Compensation: $16.00, plus we have a bonus program that is unlimited.
 
Responsibilities and Duties
<ul>
<li>Greet patients by phone, schedule their appointments within the scheduling software (FUSE) and create a positive, welcoming experience.</li>
<li>Manage the daily, weekly, and monthly schedule and adjust schedules as necessary to ensure a smooth clinic flow.</li>
<li>Uploading the necessary documents into patients profile</li>
<li>Ensuring all dental insurance is active for the current month</li>
<li>Ensuring all dental history is accurate </li>
<li>Obtaining necessary insurance benefits and eligibility</li>
<li>Register new patients and maintain accurate patient records.</li>
<li>Copy and scan documents into patients’ charts.</li>
<li>Request chart/patient transfers.</li>
<li>Record patient issues/conversations in communication log or chart.</li>
<li>Contact patients for follow up appointments.</li>
<li>Maintains patient confidentiality.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>1 year of customer service experience.</li>
<li>Must be able to handle a fast paced environment.</li>
<li>Strong written and oral communication skills.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to manage complex operational matters.</li>
<li>Highly motivated and self starter attitude.</li>
<li>Energetic, engaging personality.</li>
<li>Enjoy working with people.</li>
<li>Proficient with computers (typing 50-60 wpm).</li>
<li>Bilingual in Spanish, Somali, Oromo or Hmong a plus.</li>
