Uses their expertise in primary and urgent care, sexual health, HIV care, and addiction medicine to provide high-quality health care and medical education. Collaborates within a healthcare team to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction. Comfortable working with diverse patients and staff. Role-Specific Primary Essential Duties:
• Performs and behaves in accordance with Whitman-Walker’s mission, cultural norms, and core values of dignity, respect, affirmation, and humility.
• Provides urgent and same-day care focused on sick visits. Conditions may include, but are not limited to, cold and flu symptoms, allergies, bronchitis, asthma exacerbations, pink eye, sinus infections, urinary tract infections, sore throats, minor injuries such as lacerations and sprains, rashes, minor burns, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headaches, and concussion evaluations.

The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) works to ensure the execution of assigned studies in compliance with GCP, ICH, HIPAA, FDA Regulations and SOPs. &nbsp; Key ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Duties: In collaboration with other members of the clinical research site team, works to ensure the execution of assigned studies. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

<li>Screening of patients for study enrollment;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Patient consents;</li>
<li>Patient follow-up visits;</li>
<li>Documenting in source clinic charts;</li>
<li>Entering data in EDC and answers queries;</li>
<li>Obtaining vital signs and ECGs;</li>
<li>May perform basic lab procedures per protocol, such as:&nbsp; blood specimen collection, centrifuge operation, storing and shipping of lab specimens, accountability of specimens and notification of courier for specimen pick-up;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Requesting and tracking medical record requests;</li>
<li>Updating and maintaining logs, chart filings;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Maintaining &amp; ordering study specific supplies;]</li>
<li>Scheduling subjects for study visits and conducts appointment reminders;</li>
<li>Building/updating source as needed;</li>
<li>Conducting monitoring visits and resolves issues as needed in a timely manner;</li>
<li>Ensuring study related reports and patient results are reviewed by investigator in a timely manner;</li>
<li>Filing SAE/Deviation reports to Sponsor and IRB as needed;</li>
<li>Documenting and reporting adverse events;</li>
<li>Reporting non-compliance to appropriate staff in timely manner;</li>
<li>Maintaining positive and effective communication with clients and team members;</li>
<li>Always practicing ALCOAC principles with all documentation;</li>
<li>May assist with study recruitment, patient enrollment, and tracking as needed;</li>
<li>Maintaining confidentiality of patients, customers and company information, and;</li>
<li>Performing all other duties as requested or assigned.</li>
<li>Complete all needed activities for study start-up, including completing required training, uploading / printing certificates to file in ISF, etc.;</li>
<li>Prepare and attend site initiation visits (SIV’s) and Investigator Meetings (IMs), as needed;</li>
<li>May set up, train and maintain all technology needed for studies.</li>
</ul>
 Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseMinimum Qualifications:&nbsp; A Medical Assistant diploma, LPN/LVN, EMT credential OR Associate’s degree AND a minimum of 1 year of clinical research or clinical experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.&nbsp; Proficiency with performing basic clinical procedures such as (blood pressure, vitals, EKGs, phlebotomy, etc.) is highly preferred.&nbsp; Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) proficiency is a plus. &nbsp;Required Skills:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft applications, email, electronic health records, web applications, and the ability to type proficiently (40+ wpm);</li>
<li>Performing basic clinical procedures such as blood pressure, vitals, EKGs, phlebotomy, etc</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li>
<li>Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Well-developed interpersonal and listening skills and the ability to work well independently as well as with co-workers, subjects, managers and external customers.</li>

 Rate of pay - 31% commission 
 
General Duties and Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>
Call in to confirm all appointments for which you are scheduled. Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to first appointment scheduled for the day. Be available within one hour during any shift you are scheduled for. 
</li>
<li>
Greet guest with a smile, maintain eye contact and use guest’s surname. 
</li>
<li>
Ensure that the guest has a full understanding of the service and is comfortable prior to beginning treatment. Do not diagnosis physical ailments or give advice in regards to medical concerns. 
</li>
<li>
Provide quality, safe, consistent and ethical massage to all guests. During the service, check with the guest regularly to assure guest’s comfort and pressure of massage. Check with guest on room temperature, amount of light, music and any other aspects of the guest’s experience that can be adjusted for their comfort. 
</li>
<li>
Interact with guests and fellow team members in a friendly and service oriented manner. Offer each guest water at the end of their service. 
</li>
<li>
Clean work areas when finished with treatment, keeping it clean and prepared for the next guest and staff member. Treatment rooms are always left in a clean presentable fashion. Complete assigned side work - this includes but is not limited to: separating linens, wiping down counters, cabinets, doors and oil bottles, refilling oil bottles, cleaning the hot cabbies, clean items used for treatments, etc.

Adjust table height for correct ergonomic working standards. 
</li>
<li>
Participates in all required training, attends all monthly/quarterly staff meetings. 
</li>
<li>
Check in with Spa Concierge/Front Desk Attendant when arriving and leaving the Spa. 
</li>
<li>
At a minimum, abide by all National Board of Massage Certification regulations and guidelines. Some locations may have higher standards which massage therapists are required to comply with.
</li>

 Some locations may require each massage therapist to perform at least (2) guest contact services per month and participate in marketing of the spa; offering chair massage and attending events. 
 
Experience and Requirements
Must have the ability to communicate in English. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers and patrons. Local and/or State Certification or License is required. Minimum 200 hours massage education and 3 years professional experience preferred.
