<li>Assist residents in taking medications as needed. </li>
<li>Encourage and support resident independence and dignity. </li>
<li>Monitor residents' safety and well-being, reporting any changes to the LPN. Consult with the LPN/RN on any changes of health status of residents. </li>
<li>Build meaningful relationships with residents, understanding their personal histories, preferences and routines and anticipate needs of residents. </li>
<li>Help with light housekeeping and meal service as needed to maintain a safe and clean-living space. </li>
<li>Participate in team meetings and communicate/collaborate with coworkers and supervisors. </li>

Position: Medical Assistant
Shift: Days/Evenings/Nights (5x8)
Weekly Hours: 40 Hrs
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Pay Range: $ 19/hr to $21/hr
Location: New York, NY 
 
Responsibilities:
 
<ul>
<li>Assist with patient care tasks, such as taking blood samples (venipuncture), performing EKGs, checking patient schedules, organizing patient flow, and escorting patients to exam rooms.</li>
<li>Help patients with walking, transferring, and dressing, and assist in collecting specimens or conducting point-of-care testing.</li>
<li>Prepare patients for exams and assist physicians during procedures.</li>
<li>Take vital signs and provide instructions to patients and families.</li>
<li>Answer calls and provide necessary information.</li>
</ul>
 
Requirements:
 
<ul>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively with patients, especially those from different backgrounds.</li>
