We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team for a high-profile infrastructure project. This is an opportunity to apply your expertise in structural engineering to impactful projects while collaborating with a team dedicated to technical excellence and innovation.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will:
<ul>
<li>Perform advanced structural analysis and design for heavy civil infrastructure projects, including reinforced and pre-stressed concrete, steel, timber, deep foundations, gravity-based foundations, earth retaining structures, crane pick plans, and bridge decks.</li>
<li>Ensure designs comply with all applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.</li>
<li>Prepare and review structural calculations, engineering reports, memoranda, and design submittals.</li>
<li>Develop working/draft construction drawings for collaboration with AutoCAD drafters.</li>
<li>Tackle complex engineering challenges requiring deep knowledge of heavy/highway civil construction and structural engineering.</li>
<li>Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support project and business objectives.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
<ul>
<li>A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution (Master’s degree in structural engineering preferred).</li>
<li>10+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering, with specific experience in bridge design and construction.</li>
<li>Professional Engineer (PE) license required, with preference for licensure in New York or New Jersey.</li>
<li>Proficiency in structural finite element analysis software such as MIDAS or RISA.</li>
<li>Strong working knowledge of Excel and Mathcad.</li>
<li>Comprehensive understanding and application of industry-standard codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC Steel Specification and Construction Manual, NDS, AREMA, AASHTO, and AWS.</li>
<li>Active membership in industry organizations (e.g., AISC, AWI, RCSC) and commitment to ongoing professional development.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Experience working on projects in the New York metropolitan area is preferred.</li>
