WHAT DOES AN AUTOMATIC DOOR TECH DO? A typical day begins at our shop with a caffeine jolt, a restock of service vehicles, and assignment of daily service calls. Technicians then travel to 4-6 customer locations within our service area where they troubleshoot, diagnose, and make repairs. This involves selling parts, filling out paperwork to document the superb work being performed, and helpfully answering customer questions, providing technical support/customer education, and converting any grumpy customers into happy ones. Additional calls along a route may be added if they come in, so be prepared to call an audible. A day ends by driving directly home from your last call and putting your feet up. Also we don't just handle the old and broken, but we do shiny new doors too! Our door techs can have the fun of installing those new door systems as well. Variety is the spice of life for an automatic door tech.

Job Description
As a CNC Programmer, you are responsible for programming, setting up, and operating equipment used to produce various tools, precision parts, and instruments. Applying your MasterCam and HyperMILL experience, you will contribute to the development of extrusion blow molds and related tooling used to manufacture plastic containers for top consumer brands. In this role, you will contribute to Plastipak’s culture of safety, quality, and innovation.

You Will
<ul>
<li>Setup and operate machine tools including CNC milling machines, manual lathes, and grinders.</li>
<li>Develop CNC programs using MasterCam and HyperMILL software.</li>
<li>Study blueprints, sketches, and product designs to determine materials and machines needed to fabricate parts.</li>
<li>Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process, making adjustments as necessary.</li>
<li>Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and measuring instruments.</li>
<li>Create set-up sheets, tooling sheets, and process documentation for new tooling.</li>
<li>Collaborate with product &amp; tooling designers to analyze manufacturability of designs and verify conformance of machined parts to design specifications.</li>
<li>Contribute to a positive and safe work environment in the machine shop.</li>
</ul>
You Have
<ul>
<li>3+ years of CNC Machining experience required.</li>
<li>Technical training in precision machining; through trade school, vocational education, certification program, etc.</li>
<li>3 axis mill programming experience required; 4-5 axis preferred.</li>
<li>Experience with MasterCam required; experience with HyperMILL preferred.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and ability to independently manage project timelines.</li>
