<li>Able to start the program within six months of application</li>
<li>Current rabies vaccination or titer required </li>

Required Qualifications
<ul>

Active New York State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license – required
</li>
<li>
Psychiatric nursing experience – required
</li>
<li>
Minimum 1 year of LPN experience
</li>
<li>
Prior inpatient hospital experience strongly preferred
</li>
<li>
Pediatric nursing experience preferred
</li>
<li>
Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
</li>
<li>
EKG application experience highly desired
</li>
<li>
Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
</li>

Job Title: Behavior Assistant – Special Education (SPED) Location: South Riding, VA 20152 Duration: 24 Weeks Schedule: Mon–Fri | 7:15 AM – 2:30 PM Pay Rate: $27/hour
Job Summary: "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a patient and student-focused Behavior Assistant to support special education teams by implementing behavior plans, reinforcing positive strategies, and assisting with academic and social-emotional development in a safe, inclusive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and support positive behavior development
</li>
<li>
Provide one-on-one and small-group student support
</li>
<li>
Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and instructional goals
</li>
<li>
Observe, document, and report student behavior and progress
</li>
<li>
Support IEP accommodations and behavior strategies
</li>
<li>
Assist with de-escalation and crisis response using approved techniques
</li>
<li>
Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and arrival/dismissal
</li>
<li>
Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and support staff
</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:

High school diploma required; relevant coursework or experience preferred

Experience working with children, special education, or behavioral support preferred

Knowledge of ABA, Autism support, PBIS, or behavior modification a plus

Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
</li>
<li>
Calm, reliable, and able to work in high-energy environments
