<li>Responsible for maintaining the estimating system, including software.</li>
<li>Prices change orders on large projects.</li>
<li>Evaluates bid results to track pricing levels. Upkeeps project bid database for future reference.</li>
<li>Evaluates completed job costs against estimated budgeted costs to aid in future estimating.</li>
<li>Develops “rules of thumb” estimating techniques and criteria for budget estimating.</li>
<li>Other general tasks at the request of the department head.</li>
<li>Attendance at departmental meetings and social functions is required.</li>

Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
<ul>
<li>Minimum two years technical education in the engineering field, construction management coursework or completion of apprenticeship in a respective discipline. Prior estimating experience in the plumbing / piping industry preferred.</li>
<li>Analytical and problem solving, strong interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.</li>
<li>General computer skills required with a good working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook and a good understanding of CAD/BIM drawings.</li>
<li>Comfortable with a wide range of project budgets and estimating 120 - 200 estimates per year based on size.</li>
<li>Works in a normal office environment and makes site visits when necessary, requiring driving a personal vehicle. When in the office, regularly work from a sitting or standing position with a computer. Repetitive typing and computer use required. Regular bending, twisting, and light lifting are common, and the ability to climb up and down ladders and steps on site is required with or without reasonable accommodation.</li>
<li>Visits construction site in all kinds of weather to survey site conditions.</li>
