Communication of design intent, documentation, and troubleshooting with shop floor personnel is common. Some testing and hands on prototype assembly may be involved, along with the following:

<li>Project management of new product development projects.</li>
<li>Creation and ongoing maintenance of detailed piece part, assembly, and drawings.</li>
<li>Development and maintenance of item master, bills of material, product descriptions and routings.</li>
<li>Support sales on bid requests including cost estimates and liaison for design input.</li>
<li>Selection of materials and purchased items falls under the leadership and responsibility of our design engineering department in cooperation with sales, marketing, sourcing and various operations groups.</li>

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Related Engineering field experience required.</li>
<li>3-5 years direct experience with using solids-based CAD design tools including basic stress analysis</li>
<li>3-5 years direct experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably in a low volume/high mix environment.</li>
<li>Mechanical aptitude and proficiency in identifying and eliminating root causes of issues</li>
<li>Organizational, detail, and follow-up skills.</li>
<li>Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people without authority and get results through others.</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong team player.</li>
<li>Experience with hydraulically driven equipment and electrical control systems is a plus.</li>
<li>Willing to travel up to 20 percent to support other facilities and customers.</li>
