Job Summary:
We are seeking an Engineer who will leverage their knowledge of mathematics, physics and engineering principles as well their experience in structural engineering, heavy lift and/or transportation to analyze projects and design plans that ensure the safety, stability and integrity of our work. Our team is made up of self-starters who own a project from inception through completion with strong problem solving and organizational background.
Your daily work responsibilities will include:
Analysis
<ul>
<li>Examine project goals and perform calculations, considering loads and stresses and making appropriate calculations.</li>
<li>Evaluate the conditions surrounding projects and determine the most appropriate course of action while supporting the project requirements and the service level commitments of Vic’s Crane &amp; Heavy Haul.</li>
<li>Apply technical knowledge to meet expectations (including code, regulations and quality standards).</li>
<li>Analyze configurations of basic components for appropriate builds.</li>
<li>Calculate the pressures, stresses and strains that each component will encounter.</li>
<li>Considering the strength of various materials to see how inclusion may necessitate a change of structural design.</li>

Design
<ul>
<li>Develop drawing for heavy lift and transport projects.</li>
<li>Design elements for each project using software.</li>
<li>Make recommendations and plans that include materials and safety measures.</li>
<li>Ensure the plans meet all code requirements and are delivered within communicated timelines.</li>
</ul>
Collaboration
<ul>
<li>Review designs and report at various stages during project design to ensure technical and functional adequacy.</li>
<li>Apply feedback in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Liaising with other designers to agree on safe designs that meet project requirements.</li>
<li>Use computer aided design technology for simulation purposes.</li>
<li>Visit job sites, interact with field employees and communicate with all levels within an organization.</li>
<li>Exceptional Communication skills (written and verbal)</li>

To be successful in this role we’re looking for individuals who possess:

<li>Strong proficiency with design software (ex Microstation, Autocad, MathCad, FEA, Rivet, Microsoft Platforms, RISA)</li>

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
The position of Field Service Maintenance Technician provides preventative and reactive maintenance services within the target city and surrounding areas. The equipment includes, but is not limited to, paint shaker devices, blind cutting machines, mobility carts, cutters, wood saws, tile saws, wire, and carpet carousels.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

<li>Performing preventative maintenance on equipment</li>
<li>Use hand and power tools to assemble, disassemble, and repair machines</li>

Sodick Corporation, leading manufacturer of CNC EDM machinery, is looking for Field Service Engineers.
The Field Service Engineer reports to the National Service Manager and is responsible for traveling to customer and dealer facilities to service and install company machinery.
Responsibilities:
1. Travel to customers' facilities to install, service and perform basic training on all company machinery.
2. Troubleshoot both electronic and mechanical problems that can occur on-site by using proper basic testing equipment (i.e. multimeter or oscilloscope).
3. Examine customers' complaints regarding equipment malfunction and service issues, and communicate with customer and internal management regarding the technical analysis and determination.
4. Document all work done in a legible and technically sound manner.
5. Submit both service and expense reports for reimbursement.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
1. Minimum Associate's Degree in Electronics required.
2. Machine shop experience preferred.
3. Excellent customer service skills, including ability to maintain integrity and ethics in all conversations and actions with customers.
4. Self-motivated, able to work with little or no supervision and to calmly handle stressful situations when customers complain of equipment malfunctions.
5. Possess technical curiosity and ability to diagnose and solve production issues.
6. Detail-oriented and able to get work completed in a manufacturing environment.
7. Must be able to travel up to 80% of the time.
