Instructor/Operator Team Lead
 
The I/O-Team Lead role provides training support services for the Medical Simulation Training Center (MSTC), which carries out medical instruction and skill validation for the 68W Combat Medic in accordance with accepted medical practices established by the US Army Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE) Directorate of Simulation Directorate (DOS) under the Combat Medic Sustainment Division (CMSD). 
 The I/O-Team Lead will be capable of instructing a mixed population of inexperienced and seasoned soldiers across all MOSs. Training will be conducted in the classroom, simulation lab, and field settings. 
Normal working hours for this position are Monday through Sunday from 0800 - 1700 excluding Federal Holidays with an expectation of no more than 40 hours per work week with a one hour unpaid lunch daily.
The I/O-Team Lead will conduct training with the approved and standardized programs of instruction (POI) and simulation scenarios. 
The POIs include but are not limited to the following:
<ul>
<li>Medical Education and Demonstration of Individual Competencies (MEDIC) TC8-800 MEDIC Tables I-VIII as approved by the DOS Directorate</li>
<li>Basic Life Support - In accordance with the Military Training Network (MTN) and the American Red Cross (ARC) guidelines </li>
<li>Adult CPR and AED - - In accordance with the MTN and ARC guidelines</li>
<li>Advanced Life Support - In accordance with the MTN and ARC guidelines</li>
<li>Pediatric Advanced Life Support - In accordance with the MTN and ARC guidelines</li>
<li>CMSD/NREMT approved 24-hour EMT Refresher</li>
<li>CMSD/NREMT approved 60-hour NRP Refresher</li>
<li>Combat Life Saver</li>
<li>Tactical Combat Casualty Care as prescribed by DHA and approved by the Joint Trauma System (all levels)</li>
<li>All other courses as approved by PEO STRI, the DOS Directorate and ACLC</li>
</ul>
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Will be the ACLC Program Management Office Representative (PMO) at their respective MSTC site</li>
<li>The I/O Team Lead will seek to ensure customer satisfaction and professional and ethical behavior of all I/Os at that site</li>
<li>Will ensure that course scheduling is sufficient to meet an annual throughput of 2500 students (without BMM)</li>
<li>Provide annual site training schedules and advise PMO if training is cancelled</li>
<li>Will schedule I/Os for all POIs instructed with a class schedule</li>
<li>Will provide weekly training status updates to the PMO</li>
<li>Will report monthly throughput to the PMO (actual, not land use)</li>
<li>Will approve all employee timecards and review/approve PTO/Sick </li>
<li>Will report all absences of contract staff in real-time to the PMO</li>
<li>Will report all complaints/concerns regarding contract staff immediately to the PMO</li>
<li>Will refer any requests for training outside the above courses immediately to PMO</li>
<li>Will keep the PMO advised of any site visits by government officials</li>
<li>Ensure that all POIs are instructed to the standards set by the credentialing authority</li>
<li>Provide all podium instruction without the use of Borrowed Military Manpower (BMM)</li>
<li>Provide all Table XIII Skill Validation without the use of BMM</li>
<li>Complete all required administrative duties for the MTN courses (BLS, ALS, PALS), including compiling student rosters, and course critiques, inputting all student data into the ARC course database to issue certifications, and issuing certifications promptly. </li>
<li>Maintain all ARC course records following the MTN policies and procedures handbook</li>
<li>Hold the role of BLS, ALS, and PALS Program Director for the MTN courses (as assigned by ACLC)</li>
<li>Hold the role of BLS, ALS, and PALS Program Administrator for the MTN courses (as assigned by ACLC)</li>
<li>Compile semi-annual and annual MTN reports and deliver them to the MTN on schedule</li>
<li>Assist with and or complete administrative duties for all POIs as instructed by ACLC</li>
<li>Conduct basic preventative maintenance on low and high-fidelity medical training manikins/ equipment task/trainers </li>
<li>Perform PMCS (daily, weekly, monthly and annual maintenance) on all equipment and document it appropriately</li>
<li>Report any inoperable equipment to the TOR </li>
<li>Troubleshoot all high fidelity training manakins with the vendor (when under warranty) and send out for service when needed</li>
<li>Work with the appropriate ATMP contact for maintenance on out-of-warranty manakins/task trainers</li>
<li>Conduct weekly Class VIII and durable item inventories and regularly report statuses to the Technical Office Representative (TOR) and Course Coordinator</li>
<li>Work with the training unit to assist the unit in preparing for training to include equipment use, preparation and clean up. </li>
<li>Set up and breakdown all required training equipment for each POI instructed</li>
<li>Provide course rosters and sign in sheets to the Course Coordinator </li>
<li>Prepare all student course handouts</li>
<li>Provide After Action Reviews for each student trained to the PMO</li>
<li>Possess presentation skills to train and educate students/ employees on technical material and applications.</li>
<li>Exercise planning, management, and operator support (including but not limited to Instrumented Systems, Scenario Development, Military Exercise Support, Operations Control, and Oversight support).</li>
<li>Instruct all Warrior, Leader, Individual, and collective medical tasks as they apply to the operational force.</li>
<li>Conduct Train the Trainer courses on all medical readiness tasks required to train on TC3X</li>
<li>Other duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Performance Work Statement as assigned by ACLC</li>
</ul>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul>
<li>I/O-TEAM LEADs shall be current in and maintain National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification at the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or higher level (Nationally Registered Paramedic preferred). </li>
<li>Must be Basic Life Support certified by the ARC</li>
<li>Must be Basic Life Support Instructor qualified by the ARC </li>
<li>Must be Basic Life Support Instructor Trainer qualified by the ARC</li>

The elementary school classroom lead teacher is one of the primary stakeholders who influence the lives of children at Global Citizens PCS. Position:Founding Extended Learning Teacher
Supervisor: Founding Extended Learning Coordinator
Start Date: Rolling 2025

The Opportunity: We are seeking an Extended Learning Teacher with experience in early childhood education to teach and support students in our before care and after school programming for our students at Global Citizens Public Charter School (Global Citizens PCS). Global Citizens PCS is the first dual language immersion elementary school in Washington, DC, to offer language immersion in both Mandarin Chinese and Spanish pathways - exposing students to the top three languages spoken in the world. Paired with a focus on social justice and whole child wellness, Global Citizens PCS equips children to become empathetic, globally competent, and socially-minded leaders who are prepared for a future we cannot yet imagine. Global Citizens PCS opened in Ward 7 to provide children and their families living east of the Anacostia River with equitable access to dual language immersion programs. This position offers an incredible opportunity to work alongside a founding team, within an entrepreneurial and collaborative environment focused on improving educational opportunities for all students, especially those who are most marginalized and undervalued.
 
Mission: The mission of Global Citizens PCS is to inspire and prepare the next generation of global citizens. We will do this by supporting students, ages 3-11, to reach their full academic and leadership potential in a nurturing learning environment. We will immerse them in the Mandarin and Spanish languages, and equip them with the knowledge, skills, and mindsets they need to contribute to a better world.

Founding Extended Learning Teacher Job Description
 
The Extended Learning Teacher is responsible for ensuring students are safe, learning, and excited about the program each day. In coordination with the Extended Learning Coordinator, the Extended Learning Teacher works to ensure students have an organized and robust afterschool program. The program will incorporate yoga, music, dance, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese languages, Robotics, and STEM. The Extended Learning Teacher will report directly to the Extended Learning Coordinator.
 
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Follow the daily schedule provided by the Extended Learning Coordinator and keep students engaged in fun, hands-on, learning activities</li>
<li>Ensure the Extended Learning Coordinator has attendance sheets to account for present and absent students</li>
<li>Set and hold students to extremely high academic and behavioral standards</li>
<li>Be available to support other Extended Learning Teachers and Extended Learning Coordinator when needed</li>
<li>Ensure the school culture is protected in the program by creating a positive, achievement-oriented and structured learning environment where students are excited and invested in academic achievement</li>
<li>Implement systems and set and reinforce clear expectations and routines that are aligned with the school's overall vision</li>
<li>Ensure students are safe at all times. This includes, but is not limited to monitoring students in the classroom, hallways, at recess, and during other school-related activities</li>
<li>Be available to attend weekly staff meetings with the Extended Learning Coordinator</li>
<li>Distribute snacks to students in the classroom each day</li>
<li>Be prepared to work for before school programming (6:45 am - 8:15 am) and after school programming (2:45 pm - 6:15 pm)</li>
<li>Also be prepared to work on Wednesdays ( day for students) from 12:45 pm - 6: 15 pm</li>

Compensation
 
This is a part-time position with an hourly rate of $20.00 an hour.
