Position Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate is a student-centered educator who creates engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children . This individual will cultivate a positive classroom culture, build strong relationships with students and families, and contribute to our collaborative school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging instruction aligned with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of diverse learners.
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of achievement.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student growth and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and school leadership to support student success.
- Integrate hands-on, experiential, and place-based learning opportunities when appropriate.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Support the social-emotional development and well-being of students.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification or ability to obtain certification in Hawaii.
- Experience teaching young learners in an elementary setting.
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred
- Master's degree in Education or related field.
- Experience with differentiated instruction and inquiry-based learning.
- Knowledge of social-emotional learning practices.
- Experience working in diverse cultural communities.
- Interest in outdoor, experiential, or place-based education.
