Location: Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

Position Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate is a student-centered educator who creates engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children . This individual will cultivate a positive classroom culture, build strong relationships with students and families, and contribute to our collaborative school community.


Key Responsibilities


  • Plan and deliver engaging instruction aligned with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of diverse learners.
  • Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of achievement.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student growth and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and school leadership to support student success.
  • Integrate hands-on, experiential, and place-based learning opportunities when appropriate.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
  • Support the social-emotional development and well-being of students.


Qualifications


Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification or ability to obtain certification in Hawaii.
  • Experience teaching young learners in an elementary setting.
  • Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.


Preferred

  • Master's degree in Education or related field.
  • Experience with differentiated instruction and inquiry-based learning.
  • Knowledge of social-emotional learning practices.
  • Experience working in diverse cultural communities.
  • Interest in outdoor, experiential, or place-based education.
