 Responsibilities: The Development intern will assist with administrative duties that support the Center’s fundraising efforts, which may include: conducting prospect research; assisting in donor correspondence; updating the fundraising database; assisting in event organization; preparing mailings to donors; and supporting the individual giving and foundations teams. <li>Catholic Charities' Mobile Response program, based in Jersey City, New Jersey, provides families with counseling, guidance, and referral services to address juvenile crises and to help in stabilizing and preserving the family unit. The program addresses juvenile behavioral problems, such as truancy, chronic runaways, family disputes, and curfew violations. Mobile Response services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, to help children and youth who are experiencing emotional or behavioral crises. The services are designed to defuse an immediate crisis, keep children and their families safe, and maintain the children in their own homes or current living situation (such as a foster home, treatment home or group home). Mobile response/crisis intervention workers respond to calls received by the program through a centralized screening entity that determines the need for services. Workers must respond to calls within one hour by traveling to wherever the crisis occurs, such as in the child's/family's home, in school, or other community locations. The Mobile Response program utilizes agency-owned cars that workers use to drive to the site of the crisis.</li>

Job Summary:
The Teacher Assistant serves as a co-pilot to the teacher. They are in charge of keeping bulletin boards up to date, training all new assistants, and assisting with certain aspects of the lesson plan.&nbsp;
Responsibilities and Skills:

<li>Assist the Lead Teacher with lesson plans.</li>
<li>Decorate classrooms along with bulletin boards.</li>
<li>Helps Head Teacher communicate with parents (daily reports).</li>
<li>Help with cleaning/ upkeep of the classroom.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Get materials ready for daily lessons.</li>
<li>Help set up sleeping arrangements for nap time.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Help with the kitchen staff when meals are served.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications and Skills:
<ul>
<li>Completed College Degree/ or Currently in College</li>
<li>Experience in a Preschool or Pre K age group setting</li>
<li>Time management&nbsp;</li>
<li>CDC Guidelines enforcement&nbsp;</li>

About the Position
Grace Church School seeks to hire an Interim Director of Lower School to begin in January and to serve through June 30, 2027.&nbsp; The ideal candidate will be an experienced educator who demonstrates qualities of excellent leadership, including the ability to: communicate clearly with a broad range of constituencies; demonstrate competence and understanding of advancing belonging amid a diverse community; support curriculum work and advise teachers in its effective implementation; cultivate trust among colleagues; and handle difficult conversations with as much ease as possible, listening with an open mind and providing firm and fair guidance when needed.&nbsp; The Interim LS Division Head should be flexible and discreet, approach their work with joy, have a well-developed toolkit for managing disciplinary situations and for inspiring students to be their best, and take a “hands on” approach to learning—whether in the classroom, dining room, hallways, or play yard. The candidate should believe in attending to the learning process and not just the product, balancing students’ emotional, social, and academic development.&nbsp; Caring, confident, and critical when necessary, the LS Division Head should create a safe haven where students can trust that they will receive age-appropriate guidance to navigate teachable moments when problems occur. The person should be able to work effectively under pressure and within time constraints while maintaining an optimistic and growth-oriented mindset. Lastly, candidates should feel in their bones that Lower School students are special.
Its specific duties include but are not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Providing administrative oversight of the Lower School (Grades 2–4).&nbsp; This includes&nbsp; managing and supporting the faculty, monitoring curriculum, hiring substitutes, and supervising the production of report cards;</li>
<li>Teaching of academic classes and modeling best practices in the classroom;&nbsp;</li>
<li>In collaboration with the Dean of Faculty, conducting classroom observations of teachers and providing constructive feedback and coaching;</li>
<li>In collaboration with the Dean of Faculty, leading the hiring teams for open Lower School positions, facilitating the process with an understanding of school policies and best practices around equity, fairness, and anti-bias;</li>
<li>Leading all Lower School faculty meetings;</li>
<li>Leading LS lunch;</li>
<li>Attending and helping organize Lower School Chapel services;</li>
<li>Maintaining standards for appropriate Lower School conduct;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Getting to know the students in the division and working with the faculty, counselors, and specialists to monitor and encourage their academic, social, and emotional growth;</li>
<li>Serving on the JK–8 Guidance Committee;</li>
<li>Serving on the following school-wide committees as assigned by the Head of School;</li>
<li>Interviewing and assessing applicants to the Lower School, working closely with the Admissions team;</li>
<li>In partnership with the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the Office of Community Engagement, working to support and advance the institutional commitment to equity, belonging, and anti-racism;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Working with the Communications Department to produce communications for parents in the Lower School Division;</li>
<li>Working seamlessly with faculty in all divisions, understanding how to advocate for the priorities of one division with an understanding of the needs and priorities of the whole school.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
The school seeks an educator with Lower School teaching experience in an independent school.&nbsp; The person should have an advanced degree and some administrative experience. Familiarity with the Bridges in Mathematics program and Amplify’s Core Knowledge Language Arts &amp; Literacy Curriculum would be a plus.
Compensation
This is a full-time faculty position with an expected base salary of $175,000-$210,000 commensurate with education and experience on the salary scale.
