Work Days: Daily contracted services, as needed
Wage Range: $22.00/hour

We are seeking dedicated and passionate substitute teachers to join our growing team. As a substitute teacher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of instruction and supporting our mission of delivering a classical education.
Essential Functions:
<ul>
<li>Maintain a positive learning environment and respond to the individual needs of the students.</li>
<li>Implement effective lessons in the absence of the regular Instructor.</li>
<li>Ensure that ACADC policies are observed during all activities.</li>
<li>Create a safe classroom environment that is conducive to learning.</li>
<li>Keep all children in the classroom under supervision at all times.</li>
<li>Be familiar with fire exits, fire drill procedures, and severe storm and tornado warning procedures. Review notes for the day, take attendance and follow the lesson plans of the teacher.</li>
<li>Maintain confidentiality as defined by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).</li>
<li>Demonstrate the ability to adapt to circumstances. Exhibit good judgment and use appropriate language or behavior while on assignment.</li>
<li>Report for duty 30 minutes early and remain on duty for the entire assignment, including planning time of the teacher.</li>
<li>Fulfill other daily duties as assigned to the regular teacher such as recess, carpool, lunch duty, etc.</li>
<li>Leave detailed notes for teacher on any issues experienced during the day.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned by the Principal.</li>

Required Skills/Abilities:

<li>Bachelor's Degree preferred</li>
<li>Commitment to the policies, mission, and vision of Ascent Classical Academy Charter Schools of Colorado</li>
<li>Proficient in English, written and oral</li>
<li>Commitment to high moral character necessary to sustain ordered liberty and constitutional self-government</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to effectively articulate information and issues</li>
<li>Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment, superior organization, and computer skills</li>

Physical Requirements:

<li>Must be able to traverse the classroom and adjust one's tone and height by bending or leaning in order to teach each child</li>
