Position Summary: 
Responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the health and well being of the residents within the community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

<li>Ensures that community follows all federal, state, local laws and regulations as it pertains to clinical care.</li>
<li>Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting occurrence trends, and if necessary, develop/implement improvement plans.</li>
<li>Partners with Administrator and other team members to analyze and maintain all resident and team member health safety.</li>
<li>Partners with pharmacy consultant to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to residents.</li>
<li>Responsible for clinical expertise of licensed nurses.</li>
<li>Assists with educational presentations as assigned by administrator.</li>
<li>Identifies ongoing needs and services of residents through the assessment/ Service Plan process including documentation for residents with a change in health care status.</li>
<li>Responsible for overseeing the completion of the monthly updates and reporting any pertinent changes to the responsible party.</li>
<li>Partners with other department coordinators to identify, review, and discuss potential change in service/medication levels if applicable.</li>
<li>Ensures the resident’s service plan is updated as indicated by state regulations.</li>
<li>Participates in community awareness activities and community relations.</li>
<li>Maintains communications with resident’s family and/or responsible party regarding changes in care or health concerns.</li>
<li>Informs the Business Office of fee changes related to care needs, if applicable.</li>
<li>Schedules clinical staff on a monthly basis.</li>
<li>Ensures adequate clinical supplies are available.</li>
<li>Participates in a rotating on-call schedule.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Provides supervision to LPNs and Certified Nursing Assistants and others as assigned to assure delivery of consistently high quality care to residents. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Educational Requirements and Experience:

<li>Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing; Registered Nurse preferred</li>
<li>One (1) year in a nursing leadership role; Senior Living experience preferred.</li>
<li>BSL Certification</li>

<li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. </li>
