JOB SUMMARY
CrossCountry Freight Solutions is seeking a skilled Trailer Technician to join our team! The Trailer Technician is a safety sensitive position that will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trailers and equipment while working safely and efficiently. This may include but is not limited to doors, floors, DOT inspections, wheel end services, and electrical diagnosis.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Key Responsibilities

<li>Site Preparation: Clear debris, sweep surfaces, and prepare job sites by setting up traffic control devices, string lines, or grade stakes as directed.</li>
<li>Material Handling: Shovel, rake, and spread hot mix asphalt to assist in filling voids, creating smooth transitions, and preparing the mat for compaction.</li>
<li>Support Paving Operations: Load asphalt into paver hoppers, clean excess material from equipment, and assist in guiding trucks to ensure continuous material flow.</li>
<li>Surface Finishing: Use hand tools (e.g., lutes, rakes, shovels) to smooth edges, fill low spots, and prepare asphalt for rolling; assist with applying sealants or tack coats as needed.</li>

 We have a variety of Technician roles in our Inspection Centers, depending on your level of experience - take a look below to see what you'll be doing to help us get our low-mileage, late-model cars ready for our customers:

<li>Entry-Level Auto Technician (min 6 months professional experience): perform light maintenance, fluid checks, and/or conduct the initial inspection on our vehicles to look for any imperfections or repairs that may be needed throughout the reconditioning process.</li>
<li>Brake and Tire Technician (min 1 year professional experience): perform light maintenance or repairs, including changing brakes and tires</li>
<li>Mid-Level (Mechanical Repair / Build / General) Technician (min 3 years of professional experience): perform light to medium automotive repairs and minimal diagnostics on our vehicles</li>
<li>Experienced Technician (min 5 years of professional experience): perform extensive repairs and heavy engine work, as well as advanced vehicle diagnostics on all makes and models, including electric and hybrid vehicles</li>

<li> Supervising Service Center associates </li>

 Qualifications

<li> Must possess a valid driver's license </li>
<li> Great communication skills </li>
<li> Prior Automotive Maintenance experience is preferred </li>
<li> Prior supervisory experience preferred </li>

<li> Able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks </li>
<li> Able to attain an ASE Certification in A4 Steering and Suspension and A5 brakes within one year of hire date</li>
