Job Summary:
Perform skilled mechanical repair and preventive maintenance work on District vehicle fleet and equipment, including welding and fabrication. Provide assistance with Building Maintenance. Assist in the training of related job duties and safety procedures to the Fleet Maintenance I position. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

<li> Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues on District light and heavy-duty trucks and a variety of construction equipment. Perform preventative maintenance services and multi-point inspections, tire rotation and replacement, supervise Fleet Maintenance I during pm services, tire rotations, etc.</li>
<li> Assist with building maintenance activities including HVAC, car wash, and other mechanical and electrical equipment. Perform monthly inspections on the District underground storage tank (fuel).</li>
<li> Assist in locating vehicle parts, pricing and qualified outside vendors</li>
<li> Track vehicle maintenance/repairs and inventory in work order and parts software</li>
<li> Assist other divisions within the District with training on fleet maintenance, projects and provide fabrication of different types of materials to support the District needs. </li>
<li> Assist in the planning of new District vehicles including lease vehicles and the sale of old vehicles on Public Surplus.</li>
<li> Must be able to respond to emergencies as needed, including after hours.</li>
<li> Various other duties as assigned.</li>

General Qualification Requirements
Prior Work Experience: At least two years of mechanic (diesel or general) prior experience.
Education and Training: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional technical or specialized training in vehicle maintenance (including vactors), ASE (A1-A8) and metal fabrication/welding is preferred.
Licenses, Certifications, Etc.:

<li>Valid Utah driver's license Class B with tanker and air brakes endorsement is required or ability to obtain within 90 days. Hazardous-material endorsement required or must be obtained within 90 days.</li>

 Job Summary:
Alignment technician will learn all aspects of heavy-duty vehicle alignment and frame straightening for semi-trailers, trucks, and RVs. This individual will receive 2+ years of hands-on training alongside a highly skilled master technician utilizing a state-of-the-art Bee Line laser alignment system to master heavy-duty vehicle alignment, along with changing kingpins, shackle bushings, and rear suspension bushings. The successful candidate will also receive in-depth training at the Bee Line factory. Must have a strong desire to learn and master a trade and be proficient in math with a clear understanding of adding and subtracting fractions. 
 
This is a safety-sensitive position, requiring pre-employment and post-accident drug testing.

Responsibilities and Duties
Primary Roles 
<ul>
<li>Preparing Surfaces &amp; Painting Industrial Steel products and equipment with Air assisted sprayer</li>
<li>Overseeing Paint Shop Maintenance and Inventory</li>
<li>Mixing Paints and thinners</li>
<li>Mobilization and set up of products to be painted</li>
<li>Shipping and packaging products to be sent to customers</li>
<li>Loading and Unloading trucks and equipment via Tow motor or Crane</li>
</ul>
Secondary Roles 
<ul>
<li>Assisting Saw Cutting, Grinding , Drilling, Lathing, Milling</li>
<li>Assist in the preparation, grinding and handling of material for production</li>
<li>Stocking Material and Inventory and Keeping an up to date inventory log weekly.</li>
<li>Assistance as required around shop on various projects.</li>
<li>Keep shop floor and equipment clean and organized at all times by performing end of day maintenance and cleaning of areas and equipment, remove metal shavings, oil equipment ect.</li>
<li>Perform Daily area inspections of the facility ensuring a safe work environment by sweeping and keeping obstacles clear of paths.</li>
</ul>
​Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Previous Painting Experience a plus</li>
<li>Some experience in a shop environment welding, manufacturing, or other related fields</li>
<li>Familiarity with metal working tools and procedures</li>
<li>Familiarity with reading blueprints and measurements</li>
<li>Ability to handle physical workload and lift up to 150lb.</li>
<li>Valid Drivers License</li>
<li>Reliable Transportation</li>
</ul>
Work Place:

<li>7:30am - 4:30pm M-F Some Saturdays</li>
