Picture your day: you arrive, scan the production plan, and head straight to incoming shipments to verify materials meet spec. As lines ramp up, you move to the floor to check in-process parts, compare results against tolerances, and record everything cleanly. When a discrepancy appears, you’re the calm center—flagging the issue, partnering with production, and helping put a corrective action in motion. You’ll wrap the day by contributing to audits, fine-tuning procedures, and sharing quality know‑how with teammates so the next shift starts strong.
What you’ll handle
- Examine raw materials, work-in-progress items, and finished goods to confirm they meet defined criteria.
- Apply measurement tools and inspection equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Capture findings accurately and maintain traceable quality records and metrics.
- Detect and report nonconformances; collaborate with production to drive corrective measures.
- Help evolve quality procedures, standards, and checklists for greater reliability.
- Support periodic audits and contribute ideas to continuous improvement efforts.
- Coach production staff on quality practices and expectations to elevate outcomes.
What you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional QA-related education is a plus.
- Hands-on background in inspection or similar quality roles, ideally in manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of quality tools, methods, and control techniques.
- Exceptional attention to detail paired with strong analytical thinking.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specs, and technical documentation.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort with measurement instruments and inspection software.
- Self-starter who also collaborates well in a fast-paced team setting.
