Position Summary

Responsible for overall Dothan Electrical business results, including safety, supervision, technician development, customer service, and financial performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee electrical teams, including hiring, training, mentoring, scheduling, dispatching, supervision, and performance management.
  • Ensure company safety policies are followed and provide technicians with technical guidance and support.
  • Manage team profit and loss, service profitability, resources, and profitable business growth.
  • Serve as a direct customer contact by answering questions, addressing requests, resolving concerns, and supporting buying decisions.
  • Oversee electrical installations, repairs, retrofits, and replacements, including site evaluations, materials, coordination, quotations, schematics, and engineering specifications.
  • Monitor manpower, tools, vehicles, and other departmental resources for efficient use.
  • Review service profitability and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and organize information for reports, presentations, and special projects.
  • Address internal/external complaints and resolve problems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or necessary by customer.


Qualifications & Experience

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical products, systems, electronics, and building controls.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college/technical school with an electrical certificate.
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience.
  • State electrical license(s) preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Read, analyze, and interpret information, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Write reports and business correspondence and effectively communicate with internal/external customers.
  • Use tools, technology, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Translate detailed instructions into action items and solve problems using data and analytics.
  • Work effectively independently and as part of a team.
  • Maintain urgency while remaining calm during emergencies.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, achievement-oriented, and self-motivated qualities.


Other Requirements

  • Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends as needed.
  • Infrequent overnight travel may be required.
  • Professional appearance and strict adherence to Company safety requirements.


Physical & Work Environment

  • Frequent job-site visits, including outdoor areas and mechanical/equipment rooms.
  • Occasionally climb ladders to access rooftop equipment for quotations.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
