POSITION OVERVIEW
A & Associates is seeking dependable, hardworking General Laborers to assist with demolition, debris removal, and site cleanup projects in Port St. Lucie, FL.
This is a physically demanding, hands-on position involving the removal of demolition debris, loading and unloading materials, maintaining clean work areas, and assisting crews with general demolition and construction cleanup activities.
Ideal candidates are reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable performing physical labor in indoor and outdoor work environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist demolition crews with general labor and site preparation activities.
- Remove, collect, and dispose of demolition debris, including drywall, wood, flooring, and other construction materials.
- Load, unload, and transport debris and materials to designated disposal areas.
- Perform general site cleanup, sweeping, and removal of construction waste.
- Assist with non-structural demolition and dismantling tasks as directed and trained.
- Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.
- Follow all safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work safely around construction tools, machinery, and equipment.
- Perform additional general labor duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous demolition, construction, landscaping, warehouse, or general labor experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in dusty, noisy environments and varying weather conditions.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to workplace safety.
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Steel-toe boots and other required PPE may be necessary.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position involves active demolition and cleanup work. Employees should be comfortable working around construction debris, dust, noise, and equipment while performing physically demanding tasks.
