We are hiring a Field Technician with a background in construction or home improvement who wants to do high-quality work as part of a team — not as a solo operator. You'll work closely with our Support and Sales teams across residential and commercial projects, and you'll be trusted to represent Glacier in front of homeowners, trade partners, insurance adjusters, and municipal inspectors.
This is not a one-job-at-a-time role. You'll be overseeing multiple jobs at once, so the ability to prioritize, multitask, and communicate clearly is essential.
What You'll Do
- Manage and install fascia, siding, insulation, and roofing projects
- Assist with exterior repairs: fascia, siding, trimwork, leaf guard, gutters, and related trades
- Manage install/repair/replacement projects for skylights, windows, and doors
- Oversee jobs as assigned by ownership to ensure fast, high-quality turnaround
- Field-inspect every job at the start and end of the project to confirm scope, address concerns, and ensure quality construction and cleanup
- Identify and manage repair issues and punch lists
- Manage trade partner/sub crews in the field and report concerns to ownership and Operations
- Provide ladder assistance to sales, insurance adjusters, and municipal inspectors
- Support Area Managers and Sales Estimators on client projects
- Be on call at scheduled times for emergency service calls
- Assist with reconstruction projects (interior, remodels, decks, and other scopes)
- Help manage vehicle and equipment service needs
Who This Role Is For
This role is perfect for someone who:
- Has experience in roofing, general construction, carpentry, or home improvement/remodeling
- Has solid handyman and carpentry skills
- Is comfortable climbing ladders and walking roofs
- Manages time, priorities, and multiple jobs without losing track of details
- Communicates confidently with clients, inspectors, adjusters, and crews
- Is tech-comfortable — you'll use our CRM and Google Workspace daily
- Takes ownership instead of waiting to be told what to do
- Wants a real path toward Field Supervisor, Production Manager, or Operations
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability team culture — not just tolerates it
This role is not a fit for someone who wants to work alone, needs a fixed one-task-at-a-time schedule, or is looking for a slow-paced, low-accountability job. If juggling multiple active jobs and shifting priorities sounds stressful rather than energizing, this isn't the right seat.
Spanish speaking is a plus. Willingness to travel within the service area is required.
Compensation & Growth
- Pay Range: $25–$32 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
- Eligible for performance-based bonuses
