Job DescriptionJoin Enclos, a leading design-build specialty subcontractor known for delivering some of the most complex curtainwall and structural glass facades in North America. As our Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the continued growth of our business by ensuring we remain properly licensed, registered, and positioned to operate across multiple jurisdictions. POSITION OVERVIEWAs our Corporate Compliance Specialist, you will partner directly with our General Counsel to build the scalable compliance foundation that powers our continued growth. In this role, you will partner with leaders across legal, operations, safety, finance, and human resources to help build and maintain the compliance infrastructure that enables our teams to pursue new opportunities, enter new markets, and continue to execute projects with confidence.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee foreign entity qualification, business registrations, and DBA filings with Secretary of State offices in each operating jurisdiction.Serve as subject matter expert for contractor licenses and engineering certificates of authorization across all jurisdictions. Research and advise on licensing and registration requirements for new market jurisdictions. Proactively monitor, research, and execute renewals.Coordinate with qualifying parties/qualifiers to ensure proper license sponsorship and good standing.Maintain organized records and documentation to support audits, legal inquiries, or regulatory reviews.Coordinate with estimating, safety, legal, risk, and operational leadership to prepare, submit, and maintain comprehensive prequalification packages for prospective general contractors, architects, and owners (including platforms like Building Connected, COMPASS, etc.).Coordinate with human resources, payroll, safety, legal, and operational leadership to develop proactive strategies, strong policies, and business-oriented solutions to maintain compliance with state and federal laws while operating in multiple jurisdictions.Perform other duties as requested or assigned.REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Legal, Construction Management, or related field preferred.Minimum of 5 years experience managing corporate compliance, paralegal, or legal assistant tasks, or licensing within the construction, engineering, or commercial real estate industries.Strong understanding of surety bonds, general liability insurance, and workers' compensation requirements as they relate to licensure. Exceptional organizational skills, strict attention to detail, and a proven track record of handling high-volume, deadline-driven filings independently.Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable compliance systems across the organization.Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSDemonstrated knowledge of multi-state contractor licensing requirements, qualifying party rules, and business entity registration processes.Experience with national or regional general contractors, subcontractors, or specialty trade companies operating in 10+ states.Familiarity with reciprocity agreements and NASCLA (National Association of State Contractors Licensing Agencies) certification process.Experience with construction ERP systems and dedicated compliance/licensing software (e.g., CSC) is highly advantageous.COMPENSATIONAt the Enclos family of companies, compensation is determined based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. The successful candidate for the Compliance Specialist role in Bloomington, Minnesota can expect to earn $65,000 to $85,000 per year.
