As a Child Caregiver at our daycare center, you will care for infants through school-age children in a safe, nurturing, and educational environment. You will provide full-time daytime support, facilitating a variety of activities including educational programs, outdoor play, creative arts, and basic life skills training. Your role is vital in promoting the physical, emotional, and social development of the children under your care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise children across multiple age groups to ensure safety and well-being
- Assist with hygiene needs and daily routines
- Provide emotional support and foster positive interactions
- Monitor safety and respond promptly to emergencies
- Resolve conflicts and encourage cooperative behavior
- Communicate regularly with parents about child progress and concerns
- Maintain accurate records of activities, incidents, and care provided
- Administer first aid as necessary
- Facilitate educational, creative, and life skills activities
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of child caregiving experience
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Knowledge of communicable disease prevention, child abuse and neglect recognition.
- Understanding of child development principles
- Patience, strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent observation abilities to monitor child behavior and environment
