We’re working with a rapidly growing, AI-native technology company building the infrastructure behind the next generation of automated financial workflows.

\n
The company has already powered more than $85B in transactions through its platform and is scaling rapidly. They’re looking for a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to join their Platform team and help build the infrastructure, developer tooling and systems that enable engineers to ship faster, safer and more reliably.
\n
\n
This is a highly hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of infrastructure, backend engineering and developer experience.
\n
\n
The Role
\n
\n
You’ll treat infrastructure as a product and work closely with engineering teams to improve developer velocity, reliability and scalability.
\n
\n
You’ll be responsible for:
\n
\n
☁️ Owning and evolving AWS infrastructure using Terraform and/or Pulumi
\n
\n
🛠️ Building internal developer tooling, TypeScript libraries and shared SDKs
\n
\n
🚀 Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including Buildkite
\n
\n
🔄 Building per-pull-request ephemeral environments to make deployment fast and safe
\n
\n
📊 Improving platform observability, reliability and performance
\n
\n
⚡ Designing systems around SLOs, auto-scaling and incident response
\n
\n
🏗️ Solving complex scaling challenges across databases, compute and distributed infrastructure
\n
\n
🧑 💻 Building backend TypeScript tooling that makes product engineers significantly more productive

What We’re Looking For
\n
\n
• 7+ years of software engineering experience
\n
• Strong platform / infrastructure / backend engineering background
\n
• Experience working at a high-growth technology company or startup
\n
• Deep hands-on AWS experience across compute, networking, storage and security
\n
• Strong Terraform and/or Pulumi experience
\n
• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD infrastructure
\n
• Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills
\n
• Comfortable making meaningful changes to backend codebases, not just managing infrastructure
\n
• Experience with reliability engineering, including SLOs, error budgets and incident response
\n
• Strong systems and infrastructure design skills
\n
• Excellent written communication and ability to document complex systems
\n
• A strong product mindset around developer experience and internal tooling
\n
\n
Nice to Have

• Buildkite experience

• Experience building ephemeral / per-PR environments
\n
• Production observability experience with Datadog, CloudWatch, Sentry or distributed tracing
\n
• Experience building internal platforms, CLIs, SDKs, code generators or developer frameworks

• Experience scaling high-throughput systems
\n
• Active GitHub / open-source contributions
\n
• Experience at high-growth companies such as Stripe, Datadog, Cloudflare, Confluent, HashiCorp, OpenAI, Anthropic or similar environments
