We’re hiring an experienced field professional to service truck-mounted equipment for our customers. This is a remote role based in Charlotte, NC, reporting to the Regional Field Service Manager.

A day in your week

  • Diagnose and repair articulating cranes, truck-mounted forklifts, conveyors, trucks, and trailers on customer sites—using sound judgment and hands-on expertise.
  • Complete quarterly preventive maintenance per customer schedules, perform annual DOT inspections, and handle warranty work.
  • Respond to urgent, unscheduled service needs during regular and after-hours windows.
  • Clearly communicate mechanical findings and recommended fixes to job-site contacts and fleet managers.
  • Document work with accuracy and speed: create estimates, obtain work-order approvals, order and log parts, track labor, and maintain inventory records.
  • Operate in full compliance with state and federal safety regulations.
  • Keep your company service vehicle, job-site equipment, and work areas orderly and clean.

What you bring

  • Strong capabilities across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems; expert troubleshooting/diagnostics; and welding proficiency.
  • Comfort working outdoors in all weather; able to sit, stand, bend, squat, crouch, reach, and safely lift 75+ lbs for extended periods.
  • 3+ years of mechanical experience or training, ideally focused on articulating cranes and forklifts.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Valid CDL—or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.
  • Personal hand tools (PALFINGER will supply proprietary tools).
