We’re Hiring: UAS Standards Manager

Remote (Preferred) | 25–50% Travel | $130,000–$140,000 + Bonus + Full Benefits

Quanta Aviation Services (QAS) is looking for an experienced UAS Standards Manager to lead the development and oversight of unmanned aircraft system (UAS) standards across the Quanta Services family of companies.

\n


\n

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of enterprise drone operations, supporting more than 250 operating companies today—with continued growth across one of North America’s largest infrastructure organizations.

\n


\n

What You’ll Do

\n


\n

As the enterprise leader for UAS standards, you’ll:

\n


\n

* Develop and maintain enterprise UAS operating standards and governance

\n

* Lead the annual audit program for Quanta operating companies with active drone programs

\n

* Design and deliver enterprise-wide training programs and competency standards

\n

* Oversee the UAS Safety Management System (SMS), incident investigations, and corrective actions

\n

* Evaluate and onboard third-party drone service providers into Quanta’s approved vendor network

\n

* Ensure compliance with FAA, Transport Canada, CASA, utility customer, and industry requirements

\n


\n


\n

Qualified candidates should have:

\n


\n

* FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate

\n

* 5+ years of experience in aviation, industrial, or utility safety, standards, or compliance

\n

* Experience conducting operational or safety audits

\n

* Strong technical writing skills (SOPs, audit reports, incident investigations)

\n

* Familiarity with utility operations and safety programs

\n

* Willingness to travel approximately 25–50%

\n


\n

Preferred experience includes IS-BAO, BARS, HFACS, BVLOS operations, utility aviation programs, and training program development.

Within your first year, you’ll help ensure:

\n

* Enterprise-wide audit completion across participating Quanta operating companies

\n

* Consistent pilot qualification and currency standards

\n

* Strong safety performance with timely corrective actions

\n

* A robust and compliant network of approved drone service providers

\n
