In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety for our customers. Your mechanical skills and automotive knowledge will be essential in delivering top-tier service that keeps vehicles running smoothly and customers satisfied.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes and suspensions.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment and other automotive repair tools to execute repairs efficiently and safely.
- Execute wheel alignments, vehicle maintenance routines, and suspension work to ensure proper vehicle handling and safety standards.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems effectively.
- Accurately document all preventative maintenance and repairs on service log.
- Collaborate with team members on vehicle inspections, service recommendations, and quality control to uphold standards.
Qualifications
- Previous service technician experience in an automotive repair setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical systems and transmissions.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics interpretation
- Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance procedures such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and system diagnostics.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and other automotive repair machinery safely and effectively.
- Communication skills for explaining repair needs and work to be done to service writers
- Ability to understand and follow technical manuals, safety procedures and manufacturer updates.
Requirements
- Previous automotive technician experience required.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- State Inspection and Emissions License required.
- ASE certifications are highly desired, but not required.
